Probably not. They just water it down, I'm sure.

No, the Coca-cola formula is property of the Coca-cola company, a closely guarded secret. The Coke at McDonald's is the same Coke you get at Burger King or Carl's Jr. It may taste differently do to slight variations in dispensing methods.

Wow! I'm so glad to here I'm not the only one who thinks this! I have thought the same thing myself, but it's only based on my own experience.
Being a big McDonald's and Coke fan, I've had quite a bit of field experience in noticing this. I remember a co-worker agreeing with me about this last year.
I wouldn't be suprised if it were special, seeing as how the two companies are so huge and widely distributed. It wouldn't take much to make a special recipe just for Ronald and Co.
I do know for sure that cheeseburgers, fries and cola = AMBROSIA!

not supposed to be but fountain soda often tastes different than bottled soda and the coke guy in supposed to fix the ratio between carbonated water and syrup, so if it isnt tasting right, it could be the ratios arent right.

The carbonation and syrup are varied. It is from the same company but some business don't know that proper ration and end up with either too syrupy or too flat a product.

no it's not, however if you are tasting a difference, it is because alot of the franchisee's and manager's adjust the mix ratio to better suit their needs.
