She loves to drink wine, so I wanted to get her a really good wine for christmas...I am willing to spend up to $100. She likes all kinds of white wine but she doesn't like red wine at all. She also doesn't like sweet wines.

unwrapping the food that you want to eat and you stand near the trash can to throw it away, instead of throwing the wrapper, you throw away the food that came from that wrapper?

haha I laugh everytime that happens to me...

I understand the vegan diet avoids meat and dairy, and even honey. Why is bread (yeast) allowed? I would think that eating yeast as a living organism would be more of a violation of the tenets of the diet than eating something like honey. Can somebody explain this?

I see all these posts of people that don't eat meat for moral reasons, and many of these same people will eat dairy.

From a humane prospective, eating dairy is worse than eating meat. There is a sound reason for this fact. Few would argue that Veal is at the top of the anti-morality argument for meat. Well, Veal is a product of the dairy industry, not the beef industry. In order for a cow to make milk, the cow needs to be pregnant (I think we can all agree here). Pregnant cows have babies. So the dairy industry has this problem of baby cows being born, and wanted to turn a side profit on this aspect of their industry. Easy solution, Sell veal.

I understand that my comments only apply to dairy eating vegetarians and specifically those that are doing it for moral reasons (I won't bother getting into a debate on the health aspect of the equation).
It very much seems that this fact seems to be lost on a lot of people. What do you think?

I usually eat the cold turkey with a little bit of salt and the rest I just eat for lunches. Is there anything special you make out of them?

Ok, while fish are animals they are not considered meat. There seems to be huge debates on this. Vegeterians can eat seafood and still refrain from meat ex. beef, lamb, pork... Most vegeterians are not for the moral side of it and choose to not eat meat mainly for diet/health reasons so eating fish, an animal, is not a problem for them.

The vegans on the other hand who use no animal products whatsoever don't eat fish as well because it is an animal.

Another thing to prove that fish is not meat is that if you are a Catholic and you're not supposed to eat meat on Fridays during Lent you are allowed fish/seafood. If fish was a meat then the law would be against fish too.
