In these fast food Teriyaki Chicken Bowl place such as the one in southern californiat chain Spikes, B-Man, and others...they have this really basic high sugar style Teriyaki Sauce. I can't figure out how to make it. Any idea?

I believe the base is

Soy Sauce
Sugar
Ginger

But not sure of the portion and anything else missing. I've tried a few times and failed :(

I love ordering beef and broccolli and my husband loves chicken egg foo young. They both come in a gravy. When ever you reheat it, the gravy never melts; it stays clumpy. I don't reheat the rice. That's a lost cause.

Do you think its odd when one ethnic group cooks the food at a restaurant of a different ethnic group? An example would be that in New York, many Mexican workers make pizza in the pizza places and many Asian people make Tex-Mex.
Does this take away from the authenticity of the food? JUST A QUESTION, I personally dont care as long as it tastes good, but I have heard people make comments about it.

I want to do a very special breakfast tomorrow. (We've had a really bad time lately with several family members, so we just need a little extra TLC for ourselves.) Found this wonderful-sounding recipe for breakfast casserole, but I don't know what would go well on the side. (Blueberry muffins? Garlic cheddar cheese grits? Fruit?) Since all we usually do is cereal or toast, I'm not sure what would go well with this. Suggestions?

Thanks for your help.

"An easy, crowd-pleasing breakfast casserole with a crouton and Cheddar cheese base. This recipe calls for bell pepper and bacon, but you can have fun playing with the ingredients to dress it up or down, depending on the occasion."
INGREDIENTS:
12 slices bacon
1/4 cup butter, melted
3 cups croutons
2 cups grated Cheddar cheese
6 eggs 1 3/4 cups milk
1 bell pepper (any color), diced
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
salt and pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS:
1. Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain, crumble and set aside.
2. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
3. Melt butter in the microwave, or in a small pan on the stove over low heat. Spray a 9x12 inch baking dish with vegetable spray. Place croutons in the bottom of the dish, and drizzle with melted butter. Sprinkle with grated Cheddar cheese.
4. Crack the eggs into a bowl, whisking to break up the yolks. Add milk, peppers, mustard, salt, and pepper, and beat until well-combined. Pour over the croutons and cheese, and sprinkle with crumbled bacon.
5. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to stand 10 minutes before serving.

I got this cheap thing which is a microwave-safe, burrito-shaped plastic bowl where you can put mixed egg batter into and put on the microwave for 4 minutes. Last time I did it it smelled nasty.

Can I still do it, or is it not recommended?

i bought tofu on a whim. i'm a new vegetarain or fairly new if you will and i wanted something that was good for me and tasted good. so i went down the isle and there was so many different kinds and i happened to see the ready to eat tofu and i got it. it's going to expire in a week or so, so i finally got the guts to taste it. and guess what? IT WAS DELICIOUS! so i want to do know what i can do with it? i don't want to eat it plain or as a stand alone, i want to mix it with something so i can have my family try it without knowing what it is. it is smoked ready to eat tofu.
