Bad smell could have been caused by the egg being overcooked or stale. Try cleaning the bowl with a bit (1tsp) bleach and warm water - let soak for 30 minutes or more than wash and rise as usual in case some oil or spice cooked into the plastic. When microwaving eggs use 1 Tablespoon of water per egg to prevent sticking and aid in cooking - check for doneness after 2 minutes then again at 3 - microwaves have different temperatures so you may have overcooked the eggs. Good Luck!

I use a glass (Pyrex) bowl when I cook eggs in the microwave. It should not take more than 2 min at the MOST to cook an egg in the microwave. As far as your bowl goes, give it a good wash, and nuke for a shorter peirod of time and you should be just fine.

ought to you perform somewhat study to be sure if there are any cookery classes on your section? If there are, then you should ask for that as a birthday latest or ask in case you should 'earn' the money to do the route through doing chores. Are there any golf equipment at your college or interior sight kids centre, if none grant cooking skills now possibly you should convince a instructor or kids chief to run one - they'd basically favor someone like you to point the concept. yet in a special way must be to be inclusive of your Mum at the same time as she is cooking, watch what she is doing to study, yet grant to do lots of the education - start up through providing to do peeling vegetables or possibly reducing onions and providing to bathe the pans. If she enjoys having you help out, then she will be able to enable you do extra. (through ways, in case you do chop the onions, the bit that makes you cry is all contained in the muse bit, so reduce the completed onion in 1/2 via the muse before you peel it. Lay both bits down with the reduce bit on the board. Then peel the exterior off and chop the onion - then you received't cry!)

I scramble eggs in the microwave in a glass bowl but I take it out every 1minute, stir and put back in - a total of 3 - minutes depending on how thick i want them to be. I find if i don't stir every minute they tend to overcook on the edges and that tastes nasty - maybe that's your problem

Thats way too long to micro an egg which is probably why it smelled and probably tasted nasty. If you season the omelet this would be a good way to quickly cook it with no fat. My parents swear by their plactic device like you have. I personally hate eggs so I've never tried it.

If you hadn't washed it first there may have been some residuals on the surfaces.
I have used them before and find it far easier to use an omelette pan on the range.

microwave ovenas are safe for cooking.
It is not safe to microwave plastic wrap on your food.
So do your omelet w/o plastic and you should be fine.
