Years ago I had been given a recipe for cupcakes that were made from scratch. I remember that they contained chocolate chips and something else that when baked came to the top and formed their own frosting. Have any of you ever heard of these, and if so, does anyone have a recipe they could share?

My son loves to cook at home. He will be celebrating his 30th Birthday, and I thought of buying him a Mortar and Pestle set.I see they are made in a variety of materials. What would be best for at home use for cooking?

My garden has produced a ton of tomatos this year. Now what!? I gave a bunch away and I still have a lot. Anyone have any good tomato recipes? How about a good fresh pasta sauce recipe? I have big boy tomatos and grape tomatos.

I am joining you!!! Haha! I'm so excited I've decided to make this transition in my life. Over the years I have just lost my taste for meat and now whenever my mother cooks with it I can just smell it so strongly and it turns my stomach. I've been wanting to do this for a long time and I am so happy that I've decided to become a vegatarian. Any helpful tips on getting started?

I have been with my boyfriend for about 17 months and last year for his birthday I made a really big effort because I wanted to really impress him. I cooked a really fancy meal for him (and I'm talking really fancy it took me weeks to prepare) and I had candles, gold stars on the table cloth, a deep red rose, champagne, home cooked everything etc etc.

I want to do the same again this year but I don't know what to cook - it has to meet the same standards as last year and I just don't know how I'm going to do it! Last year I did toast and pate for starters, roast lamb for main and homemade cheesecake for desert.

Any ideas for a menu will be gratefully appreciate.

All seafood tastes different, but most of it (like prawns, muscles, fish) shares a strange aftertaste that lots of people don't like. What is it about seafood that creates this?

Could the position that a lot of meat eaters take on vegetarians being pushy simply be a latent memory of their own parents telling them as children, "you eat those vegetables mister." Therefore they think anyone who is pro-veggie is a veggie bully... or are there really veggies out there that hold people down at random and make them eat brussel sprouts?
You make the call?

OK, I'll be very particular here. I need some websites, or your own, no onion, no garlic(sometimes onion will do), no brinjal, tinda, pumpkin, turai, bitter-gourd(karela), parwal, ghiya, lauki, meat, mutton, fish, prawn, etc. recipes. They can be simple or elaborate, any cuisine, easy enough to be prepared at home, so no olives, olive oil, zucchini, lasagne or pasta sheets, or other exotic ingredients please. Pastas, continental, etc recipes are welcomed.
