I cook from scratch every time I cook, which is every day there isn't left overs or my hubby cooks on the grill. I make tacos, starting with dried pinto beans and I make mexican rice with brown rice or jasmine rice and I cook ground round and add the spices for the tacos. I make a great homemade pizza dough from scratch. I used jarred sauce and add spices, except for classico's italian sausage sauce--it's great as is for pizza!, but I cut up my own veggies for the toppings. I make homemade spaghetti sauce. Any way, the last item I made was tacos, the day before that, pizza. ALL FOR MY HUBBY AND THE 2 KIDS STILL AT HOME (2 out of 5 kids)

*pats head* I made black beans from scratch. I rinsed the beans and soaked them in one day. Then, I extra finely diced onion and garlic to a crockpot. I pro with cumin, chili pepper, sea salt, black pepper, thyme and tabasco. Cooked on low for 9 hours. finally, I went to my widespread Indian resto and offered a brilliant order of Basmati rice. I served the beans over that, and crowned with shredded cheese, diced onion, and bitter cream.

Last night's supper. I usually cook at least supper from scratch. It was very good. Baked chicken, smashed potatoes and slow-cooked greenbeans. It was just for my family.

i made a kind of seafood past primavera last night for myself and it was delish - first time i tried it.
i just simmered some fresh garlic, chives & red pepper in olive oil & a tad of butter while cooking my noodles, then added some jalepeno peppers, red onions & fake lobster, and tossed some roma tomatoes in at the very end so they didn't turn to mush...it was really good and light, i brought the leftovers for lunch today.

I made a homemade chicken pot pie. Using left over chicken, I cut it into small pieces, added a few diced potatoes, and some frozen vegetables. Made a creamy chicken white sauce and topped it off with a flaky homemade crust. I made it for the family for dinner.

I cook for my husband and myself just about every single day, and I *almost* always cook from scratch.
Last night we had grilled hamburger steaks with mushroom & onion gravy, marinated veggie kabobs and fresh cheese biscuits. It was pretty good.
