If it's unhealthy, why does it taste nice?? And some healthy foods really don't taste nice. This doesn't help with keeping a balanced diet for some people does it? Why is this?

Okay, so I've looked up all the online help areas and whatnot. I've seen that some recommendations are to use a "charcoal chimney" and whatnot. To stack your charcoal in a pyramid...etc.

However, I keep failing...

The first time I lit up my charcoal, the fire went out. I had put the charcoal in the grill and poured enough lighter fluid on it to coat it. Then I lit it up. However, the fire went out and eventually the charcoal stopped burning (the grill got cold in about 45 minutes, there went my food...).

The second time, I put about 15 briquettes down, poured lighter fluid on it, then repeated two more times. I then lit the charcoal. It stayed lit this time, BUT it got really really smoky! Horribly smoky...I basically made a smoke signal... :'(

My question here is how do I properly burn charcoal? I want to keep it burning to the point that it cooks, but not to where I create a smoke signal for planes...

Like I said, I've looked up all the online stuff, but nothing helps..

I don't really like the idea of eating animals but don't want my health to suffer either. What's are good alternatives to add to my diet?
( I went to donate blood recently and they wouldn't take it as my iron levels were low even though I've been taking iron supplements and vit C etc since stopping eating meat)

Disclaimer! No offense to vegetarians. This is an honest question. Why do vegetarians eat mock meat (mock duck, mock fish, mock chicken - you get the drift - made with gluten or tofu)?

Aren't vegetarians suppose to be vegetarians because they don't want to kill animals, whether due to religious or personal reasons? So why do they still eat mock meat?

What is the scummmy stuff that always comes to the top of vegetable soup and broth, like a froth? I cooked vegetable soup last night, with 2 cans of diced tomatoes, and the froth came to the top during boiling. I scooped it off, but what is it, and why does it appear?

I want to become vegetarian, but I do not know how to explain it to my mom. I know she probably won't let me, but I've seen disturbing Youtube vids about what goes on at factory farms, and I've confirmed that they are too disturbing by looking on a dream site.

According to the site, dreams about tidal waves means that something is too overwhelming. The only solution there is for me not to think about the videos too much is for me to go vegetarian. I've been having dreams about tidal waves a lot. But I do not think my mom will let me. And I'm worried what she's going to say about me seeing those videos. She has never yelled at me for watching anything graphic, but I never have watched anything too graphic.

Any advice?

I'm looking for a written test, similar to a personality test, but the point of this test would be to describe the kinds of foods you find the most appealing. Does this kind of test exist?

Maybe there would be some ranking questions, e.g. rank the order of your preference for a list of foods, and maybe the test tells you a cuisine or a palette preference for food / taste types...

You see, I have.
My friends will often do such things as keep the meat separate or make a few of whatever without meat in it etc. for me since they know I don't eat the sort of thing. So, I have returned the favour just to show that I appreciate it.

As a vegan/vegetarian, would this be going too far against your principles?

What about perhaps keeping your friend's favourite ice-cream in your freezer for when they visit, even though you'd never touch the stuff? Something to this affect.

They used to be delicious but now they are gross. we have purchesed the chicken several times now and it still tastes like pickles. Does anyone else think this also?
