I really like their coffee, sandwitches and muffins. I have tried a few of their soups though and they are terrible. What's up with that?

Columbia Crest Grand Estates chardonnay changed their yeast, so the new vintage doesn't have the buttery taste that I love so much.

La Crema chardonnay is pretty good, but I need an alternative to them in case they change their formula.

I have tried (and am not impressed) with the following wines:

Kendall Jackson
Chateau St. Michelle
Yellow Tail
Beringer
Sutter Home

I live in Los Angeles, so I can get any wine.

I am going to go grocery shopping as soon as I get some answers to this!

My best friend is a very hungry person--I normally keep a lot of snacks in my room, and since he started visiting me frequently about a week ago, they are almost all gone. However, I did not have a lot that he was allowed to eat because he is lactose intolerant (and he doesn't like soy). What are some good snacks to have that lactose intolerant people can eat? All I have now is soup and Wheat Thins. So far, I am buying Tostitos and spaghetti sauce.

If it matters, I live in a dorm, so storage is limited. In my dresser, I have a space cleared that measures 17"L x 10"W x 7"H. In my refrigerator, I have a 14x11x5 shelf available. My 14x11x7 freezer is completely empty.

In the common room, there is a microwave. There is also an oven, but I don't have time to use it except on weekends.

Two weeks ago, a dozen grade A jumbo eggs was $0.79, this past Monday $1.88, and today $2.51, what's going on? I think they have bit off their nose to spite their face on this one, they have actually made it cheaper to buy the colesterol free egg substitute, which is a lot healthier, than to buy the real deal! No more real eggs for me until the price gets under control! What do you think?

I'm not sure if you can get salmonella poisoning this way or not! If it's okay with chicken, how about with fish food, porc and beef?

I have watched those infomercials about how you can use a food saver and then just boil the food in the new package. Can you use a ziploc to do that or will it melt and be disgusting?

sometimes people in my life go, "wow that is so great you are a vegatarian". but i tell them, i can not take credit for this because there is something beyond my thought which causes me not to eat meat. do you think its possible for this mode of living to go beyond compassion and human thought and be a mode of living, whether an evolution or just a byproduct of that persons biology? because it seems to me i was built this way and it is not a conscious effort at all. to take credit absolute for it would be a moral sin in a way? does anyone else feel this way about their vegetarianism? please serious replies only. thank you.

We are going out Saturday night and I am always afraid to order wine with my meal for fear they will ask me questions that I can't answer like a specific kind or that I'll end up getting some crazy expensive glass of wine. What should I say when I order. I just want a cheap glass of red wine (but don't want to say that when I order!)

I've disliked seafood for many, many years, except for crab. It may mostly be in my head and because of the health benefits, I want to add fish to my diet. What's a good fish to try for someone who doesn't really like seafood?
