I'm not sure if you can get salmonella poisoning this way or not! If it's okay with chicken, how about with fish food, porc and beef?

I would say yes, because there might be a point where the raw chicken touches the seal of the freezer bag. Also, be mindful of airborne bacteria too. If the vacuum in your mouth is good enough to form an airtight seal, then you are most likely also picking up traces of raw chicken and its juices. All you need to do is ingest one microscopic samonella, and wham...you are sick. Get a vacuum sealer, or wrap the chicken in saran-wrap, then place it into the bag, then roll the bag til it is airtight. This is far better than acquiring samonella or any other food-borne illness!!! This goes for ALL raw meats, not just chicken.

I think this process would work the best on a bag of chicken butts.
Suck it up, suck it in, uh huh.

Yes you can get salmonella poisoning from any part of uncooked chicken including the juices.

Why would you want to do that anyways? Outta good drugs?

In all honesty (w/o sarcasm) I don't think that is un-healthy, just a little gross! Breathing salmonella is NOT the same as eating it. Besides, not all chicken has salmonella. I can't see how it would be hazardous.

I would say as long as you lick the chicken first and spin around four times saying cluckin pluckin you should be just fine.

why would you want to put any type of raw meat product even remotely close to your mouth? put the meat in the bag, lay it on the counter, zip it almost closed and squeeze the air out, zip the rest of the way closed. why chance getting a mouthful of raw chicken juice. yuck!!!!

I would not. Why don't you try first wraping the raw chicken in plastic rap, saran wrap type that actually clings to the chicken then putting a layer of heavy duty aluminum foil, and try freezing that, I would think that it would make that more air tight.

I wouldnt use your mouth. Try using a turkey baster, squeeze the bulb and insert it into the bag then release. it should suck the air into the bulb. take bulb out squeeze it again and repete.

Absolutely not a safe way to seal RAW meat. I recommend you purchase a FoodSaver. It's a great product and not pricey. You can find one at Wal-Mart or Target.

Good luck! :)

WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK?

Raw food is what it is: raw. Your chances for getting bacterial infections are significantly increased when you consume raw food. Especially foods such as chicken and fish! That will make you sick sick sick.

Hope this helps.
