My Son was given a 100% dairy protein free diet. I keep runing across products that lack Lactos, but still have Casin.
I need to know about any stores in the San Antonio TX area that specialize in dairy replacement products.
I already know of: Sun Harvest, Whole foods, Wild Oats Market, and HEB #1 on Broadway. (I found a listing) Any other lesser known places that would sell these products?

I'm trying to come up with a name, but I can't come up with it!!
It looks like this:
http://www.alfoo.org/diary/kazelion/image/kazelion-1145181443-w.jpg
And I know some people call it the brain cake, but I'm pretty sure that there was an another name!
It has this sliced roll cake on the outside, in a dome shape, and has a mousse inside!

If you know the name, that will be appreciated!!!!!!!!

The fact that Starbucks buying policies contribute directly to poverty in many places is what makes this particular company soulless.

Because they can buy up massive amounts of raw product they force the prices down for the coffee beans that many everyday farmers work to produce in sh*t conditions worldwide.

They say that they make a point of buying "Fair Trade" coffee, but it only amounts to 1% of their total buying.

They couldn't care less. They also use milk from cows which have had genetically modified hormones injected apparently... nice!

It seems like, if they could get it to taste good, it would help you not be so obvious with the beer breath when you are saying the alphabet backwards to officer rodrigues every friday night at 11:30 on the way home from the star bar.

Trans fats are by far mostly man made, occasionally found in nature in trace amounts. They are found in margarine, Crisco etc. and frequently found in baked goods. Manufacturers love the stuff because it has an incredible shelf life.

Even though the label may say "0" trans fats that doesn't mean there isn't any there, only that "per serving" there is 0 grams. At 0.5g/serving you can see how you can get way more than one gram if you get several servings.

Trans fats are proven to lower helpful cholesterol while increasing bad cholesterol. Not a good thing...

I'm just curious how many people know anything about it...

I got one for Christmas-- it's very cute but way small. I heard that they cook VERY slowly, even for crock pots. If I have a recipe for a normal-sized crock pot, how should I adjust that for the baby-sized?

I'm trying out a recipe that is written using several British food items (leeks, rindless back bacon rashers, etc.). These are all things I have never heard of before. I tried searching online for equivalents, but I'm not that good at doing research on the internet. I thought this might be a good way to answer my question. So, if you have a good common subtitute that I could use and would be able to find in a general grocery store, that would be very helpful. Then again, maybe I can find mustard cress...all I need to do is ask, right?
