im looking to go into bartending, my sister suggested i do it since im looking for something more exciting, im 19 in a few days so i can serve it. but does anyone know any good bartending schools in central NJ? should i even bother? are there any alternative ways to get my license to serve? if i do get it, is it easy to get hired? is this even a good business to get into? is the money good?

please, give as much detail as possible!

You don't need a license to bartend, but you do have to be 21. Don't waste your money on a "bartending school." If you want to bartend, start off at a dive bar and go from there. Yes, it is good money, but I wouldn't plan on doing it forever. It does get to be a drag, and it is very unstable work. They are always hiring because they are always firing. Don't look in the paper, just go to the bar.

you can tend bar if your at least 18 in NJ. they are more likely to hire you if you went to bartending school. i dont know any in new jersey though
