Have combined many various cupboard ingredients with varying success e.g. either too tomatoey;salty etc. Occasionally very good - but looking for e.g. nice gravy with lentil and veg loaf.

I would like to extend the shelf life of some baked good I make...specifically cookies. What sort of perservatives should I be looking to add, and where can I find them? Is there another resource I should consult, because I obviously know NOTHING about this.

Hi Everyone. I want to make a cheesecake with some of the ingredients that I have already here at home but not sure what i need. Here are my ingredients: 1-8oz package cream cheese. 1 can sweetened condensed milk. 2 packages semi-sweet chocolate. Powder sugar, regular sugar, milk, eggs, graham crakers. Does anyone have a good cheesecake recipe that uses NO MORE than these ingredients here?? I tried "Allrecipies.com" but didn't find anything. Thank You Very Much!

I can never seem to buy a perfectly green avacado on the inside. Does the slight blackish color mean that it is ruined or is it bruised and can still be eaten?

What suggestions do you have when buying an avocado that will ensure I get a good avocado?

I have been drinking 1-3 cups of coffee/cans of diet coke every day for more than a year and I'm trying to stop. Can someone tell me (maybe if you've been through something similar) how long it takes for the headaches and fatigue to go away? I have been caffeine-free for 4 days and so far the symptoms haven't gotten any better. Also, are there any home remedies or quick-fix cures that might help? Thanks very much!

I often buy steak/meat in bulk and freeze it for later use. To defrost the steak, I take it out of the freezer the night before, place it in a bowl and leave it in the fridge to slowly defrost.

I notice that the bowl fills up with blood from the meat as it defrosts, which I think is causing it to be dry and tough. Is there a way to avoid the blood escaping when defrosting meat as the taste and texture really are not enjoyable or satisfying?

Thanks.
