need ideas, i like all types of food, except for anything that has an egg taste. What would you have her make?

Well, if she's cooking, and you like just about everything, I'd say the best way to go is to have her prepare her specialty - whatever it is she makes that she's best at, or that she does really well.
And if she's just an all-around fabulous cook, then go for a nice steak, baked or broiled potatoes, your favorite veggies and something fancy like kahlua creme brulee for dessert.

First off, listen to you (and the rest of these dweebs). She's either a dweeb as well, or she's secretly hoping you will clear off the counter, or table and rock her world.
If she's an Iron Chef, then tell her to make you anything and you'll be thoroughly enjoying it. If she burns rice, then GO OUT to eat.
Seriously, bro, I sound terse, but trust me, unless she's a dip, you'll notice her wearing something attractive, she'll say "I just wanted to dress up 'cause it's you're birthday," and your naive a$$ will believe her and say, "you look purdee, duh, what's for supper." She'll smile and secretly be dissappointed thinking of dudes like...

What is your Favourite type of food ? Try Thai food, curries are always good. I would also check out the food network website they always got good ideas.

well if she said "anything" then i think you should be creative, find your self a tough tough meal to make, and who cares if does not turn out, it will be fun, and worst case you go out and grab a bite.
Get her to stuff and bake a lobster for you,
