Any ideas for quick, easy, and possibly not so expensive appetizers I can serve my family for New Year's Eve? Kid friendly would be nice too, since I have a toddler at home. Thanks!

Today is my parent's 24th wedding anniversary. They are spending their special day helping my sister move into her appartment in college. I'd like to make them a romantic dinner for when they come home. I have limited ingredients and about an hour of time from when they leave to when the meal has to be ready. Does anyone have suggestions on how/what I can make? Thanks.
