Starbucks, by far, has some awesome coffee. Other good brands are Millstone, and 8 o'clock. If you want to totally change your view of coffee, buy it whole bean and get a coffee grinder. They aren't expensive and totally worth it. You will NEVER go back to pre-ground. And you can decide how fine to grind it to suit your taste. Generally, you want to get the beans that are oily looking. It makes the most awesome coffee. And you should only grind as much as you are going to drink at a time, or it will be "stale" tasting and store it in an airtight container or freezer after opening. The beans won't dry out if you do this. You will definitely start noticing the difference between pre-ground and fresh ground and you will never go back to Folgers.

I have an old store model coffee grinder at home. I think the freshness is more important than the brand. Try to pick coffee that moves the most on the shelf, or if you use coffee beans find a store that specializes.
