Try General Tsao's Chicken. Spicy but still sweet. Also, cashew chicken is EXCELLENT! Enjoy!

For years all I would try at Chinese restaurants was Sweet and Sour Chicken or pork. Then I tried General Tso's chicken, and loved it. Right now my favorite is curry chicken, but I also like Cashew Chicken. The best way to experiment is to go to a Chinese Buffet, that way you can sample small bites of lots of things to see what else you might like.

Slightly spicy, but not breaded...makes a total difference, especially if you usually get the sweet -n- sour...try curry chicken (yep, they have it at most Chinese restaurants) or hunan chicken/beef/and/or/pork.

My favourite is Chicken with green peppers and black bean sauce and fried rice. Ku bo dishes are tasty too but quite a lot of garlic. Szechuen dishes are very tasty too but again i do like spicy food. If you don't like it too spicy go for Chop Suey. I guess i just love chinese food, yum.

Ask for 'Gong Chow Now Hor' - if the restaurant has it you will love it. It's beef and bean sprouts in gravy on flat white noodles!!!

They also be impressed by your commnd of the cantonese language - and might throw in a bottle of soy sauce as a freebie!
