Most food that we eat is enhanced in some way or another; whether it is to achieve a longer shelf life or to keep bugs away, hardly anything we eat is purely natural these days...what do you think-should we leave food alone or enhance? Keep in mind that as foods are enhanced, some of their nutritional value is decreased.

I was diagnosed in October with Breast Cancer, and am interested in a vegetarian diet, mostly to avoid hormones and preservatives. I want to make the change for health reasons, but am completely overwhelmed on where to start. Help?

obviously dough, tomato, and cheese is a good place to start,(lol) , but i know there are some tricks of the trade that makes a pizza great. i'm having a "make your own pizza night" this friday with my nephew and 2 nieces, mom , bro, and 2 sisters, where everyone makes their own little pizzas, top it with whatever they want, etc. although the kids will completely destroy their pizzas with peanut butter and popcorn, i want to at least make sure i get the basic ingredients right. anyone with tips on what specific sauces, seasoning, dough, toppings i should get(so at least the adult pizzas taste good), thank you very much for your help. i want to stick to a 30 dollar limit on the ingredients guys(anything more i would just order pizzas)......

We were watching Gordon Ramsey F-Word on BBC America the other evening and there was a segment on saving fats for birds. He showed a plastic container to store the fat from the pan.

Does anyone know where I can get a container such as this? I realize I can use an old tin-can etc, but that would certainly be pretty ugly sitting in the kitchen so I was looking for something I can put a lid onto, or something specifically made for this purpose.

Anyone have any ideas?
