My sister has brought her kids to my mom's Christmas party for the past two years, and we are really starting to get annoyed because I swear they are the spawn of the devil. They teared down the decorations last year, stuck their fingers in my moms rum cake when they had just came from playing out side, and on top of that the year before they through a rock right at my mom sliding glass window, which cracked so she had to end up replacing it. How can I tell my sister to leave her kids at home, or just not to come at all with out being mean? I know she is a single mother, but you think that someone would have better control over their kids.

the parents come and tell their son that they want to go to burger king, but the boy is busy playing video games and tells them not now. They start whinning like a child and the boy finally says, ok go get in the car. I don't think it should end there, I think the kid should tell the father, Ok go get in the car, but you're driving!

In 2 weeks i am planning on hosting a house warming party, It is my first house, and i am only 19 so i am super excited about it! I am inviting family and friends. There will be at least 25 people there, What would be the best way to do this? Have it as a dinner or a day party, and what types of things do i do except show the house. If i prepare dinner what do i make for that many people? And if i dont prepare dinner what kind of food do i serve? Any tips would be much appreciated. I am a little lost when it comes to planning this as i am planning this on my own. Thanks!!!

People say to use stainless steel over a saucepan but I only have glass. I'm just concerned about the glass breaking when it is heated.

You sometimes see people sharing a bottle of hard liquor. Is this because the alcohol kills all the germs and so therefore it is safe to share the same bottle?

Just a questions some mates and i wondered while at uni. We don't eat mouldy bread because it looks and maybe smells disgusting. But is it actually bad for us? Does it contain any toxins that could actually make us ill? Any mycologists out there who could answer this?

I need to bake a 2-layer 10-inch cake, but I only have one 10-inch cake pan. What is the best way to go about this? One time I had to let the batter sit for 30 minutes, because I had discovered my milk had spoiled and had to get more at the store. It turned out flat and dense. I'm afraid that will happen to the second layer if I leave it waiting for the first, and I'm reluctant to do it by half because I thought I'd heard somewhere that some recipes don't divide well.

It is a feathery light chocolate cake that is leavened with baking powder, and you have to fold in 3 egg whites. If I do the whole recipe, I think I'll at least hold off on whipping the whites until the minute I need them.

Does anyone have any advice?

Thanks everyone

I made some delicious pasta w/ marina sauce and ground beef this afternoon. I forgot to put it in the refrigerator when I left for work. Is it safe to eat now? I left it at 1pm today, and am just getting home (10pm eastern time).
