the broth is what is good for you it has nutrients in it that help your body heal....it also keeps you hydrated......and ofcourse its a comfort food for when you are sick....i hate chicken noodle soup from a can i only eat the homeade stuff.....



btw. mickey i believe that this is only true for turkey not chicken...but i may be wrong... poultry has tryptophane which makes you feel sleepy. and sleep is what your body needs when youre sick

when i make chicken soup i add alot of garlic and veges. Garlic i the best for colds, and u cant go wrong with veges!

truly i think is purely psychological...it was something that was easy and accessibly to make back in the day and now it has become a standard of something that will make u feel better and because society tells us it will make us feel better we unconsciously think that in our minds
