In case you didn't know, a "turducken" is a turkey stuffed with a duck which is also stuffed with a chicken. If you have tried this seasonal oddity, would you mind describing how it was?

I'm making twice baked potatoes and you have to scoop out the insides as most of you know. Does anyone have a good way to get the potato out of the peel? It seems I always tear the potato. Is there a special tool?

Fish is great for protein but what about iron? I have read that the levels are quite low. We eat a lot of oatmeal, dried mango, nuts, whole-wheat sprouted grain bread but lately with my wife's work schedule we have been eating a lot of bagels and coffee from Tim Horton's, crackers, cheese pizza and french fries on the go.

I went out to eat the other night, and they had Greek Chicken soup on the menu, I ordered it, it was amazing. I woud love to learn how to make it. I looked up some recipies online, and they seemed rather complicated. The soup that I had tasted like condensed cream of chicken soup with some lemon juice and orzo (rice shaped pasta).

Someone gave me some homemade pear liqueur called kruskava (kroos-kuh-vuh)? I have no idea how to spell it. I remember it was delicious, and I have tried to make pear liqueur with the recipes that call for pears steeped in brandy, but they aren't close. Maybe this was actual fermented pears. What kind and how do you make it? Does anyone know the proper spelling? Thanks in advance.

My boyfriend and I have decided to bring chanpagne to Thanksgiving at my mom and dads house and I don't have a ton of money to spend on it. Preferably I would like to spend 15 to 20 dollars, but I dont want it to be cheap and nasty.

I do not - I was always told to clean my plate by my parents. I feel really offended if someone leaves food and it gets thrown away.

If someone takes the food onto their plate themselves and leaves it, this is even more greedy but the worst...is if they bin the food then go up for massive helpings of puddings - simply outrageous!!!

My oven is no longer working and I have a turkey defrosting in the fridge. I don't know what to do. I thought that I could cut the turkey into sections and put it in a deep skillet or pot. Please give me serious answers, I don't want anyone getting sick.

Thanks

I have eaten food for 36 years and a lot has been English food. I cook every day but don't usually make 'standard' English recipes but there are some which I would really miss:

Shepherd's Pie, Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding, Toad-in-the-hole, Bangers and Mash with onion gravy, Beef Wellington, fish and chips...and the classic full English breakfast!

They are not in my top 10 favourite foods and they're not that healthy but before English cooking is totally slagged off, bare in mind that England is not on the equator and we need calories in winter and most recipes are served with vegetables.
