Not sure that would work and you probably would've experimented before trying on the big day. Spend 30-40 dollars and by an electric roaster.
Or if you are inviting guest, ask them if they'll make it in their oven.
Or contact a rental store and rent a stove/oven for the holiday. Their contracts are week to week so just have them come back the next week and get it.

I would pesonally use this as an opportunity to buy a deep fryer, and go that route. Shorter cook time, crispy dark skin, 50 bucks...how could you go wrong? Next year you can fill that same pot with salty water and boil up some steamer clams and a couple of maine lobsters with corn on the cob and new potatoes. Have yourself a good ole noreaster clambake.

If you have a Dutch Oven you can cut the meat off the bone and cook it that on the stove. I have a counter-top roaster...Walmart has them. I always do my turkey in there because my oven is too small for the size turkey I make.

Our oven broke one year and my step-mom used the grill. She put it in a huge pot, or a dutch oven, I think thats what it is called. You have to keep checking on it and basting it or it will definitely dry out. It was a gas grill, so i'm sure if you use the 2 back burners it would work the same. Just remember to baste!

The same thing happened to me this Thanksgiving! Why not use your BBQ. Also, cut legs away from back in order to cook more evenly, if you bend thighs towards the back, you will see where to cut through the joint (hip). Season with salt and pepper and paprika and bbq over low heat for several hours, checking frequently and turning over. Cover wings with foil if they get dark too fast, and baste often with butter.

attempt a duck. at the moment we were having duck for each of the "substantial" vacation journeys or activities or weekend dinners. it really is amazingly very tasty and far jucier than fowl or turkey. i'd make duck l'orange, it isn't that problematical as its purely duck with orange sauce. Or in case you wan to bypass with meat, attempt a tenderloin roasted contained in the oven. both actually one of those might want to bypass over truly properly and are authentic treats in evaluation to a turkey. To me turkey is only a vast fowl.
