Today my wife left $4.00 in quarters for a tip at a restarrant. I told her, "I wouldn't do that." She smiled and said, "I would". She did.
Any thoughts from servers?
(The reason my wife left the tip is we've been married 16 years. Each year I have less and less in my wallet, she gets more and more in hers. She pays everytime we eat out now.)

For some reason I have only the packet of vegetables and sauce mix from that box so I'm going to throw it with some chicken to use it up and I'm wondering how long I'm supposed to cook it for and at what setting.

Looking for something that has a light sweet taste but in the same time that can give you a nice buzz. Y'know a little something to drink when eating a meal or just kicking back. Im on the Carlo Rossi (Rhine) in the mean time. Usually if I wanna go further, I'd drink old school rice Wine (Japanese Sake) to get me F'd up, but im not looking for that right now. Any suggestions on a good casual wine thats a little cheap? And please dont bother answering me if its beer or hard drinks. I'd appreciate it =)

Our friend used to enjoy undiluted Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot, but since recent surgery, has found that the best way to enjoy a full-bodied wine is to mix the wine 50/50 with sparkling water. He has to pace himself and doesn't mind sipping it slowly like this in a diluted form. As he says, it was good enough for the Romans! Yeah, he's heard all the jokes, but that's how he likes to drink it. Is there a quicker way to order a red spritzer made with Chilean wine?

We've all found that it's confusing to order this, and generally ask for a sparkling water plus a Chilean wine separately.
("which brand, how many bubbles, are you sure you don't want lemon or ice?")

Do bar staff have a name for this long drink? It would be good if we knew how to ask for our order properly, & would save time! We are pretty bored with hearing the guy behind shouting that we should give him a whiskey or JD instead, because it's "standard". People are not standard issue!
