Looking for something that has a light sweet taste but in the same time that can give you a nice buzz. Y'know a little something to drink when eating a meal or just kicking back. Im on the Carlo Rossi (Rhine) in the mean time. Usually if I wanna go further, I'd drink old school rice Wine (Japanese Sake) to get me F'd up, but im not looking for that right now. Any suggestions on a good casual wine thats a little cheap? And please dont bother answering me if its beer or hard drinks. I'd appreciate it =)

There is a wine called 'Rex Goliath! 47 Pound Rooster
Try the Pinot Noir. Try them all.
Do you have a World Market near your home? They have a wine store with wines from everywhere, good prices. This wine is under $8.00 and gives a good buzz.

Santa Margarita's Riesling, white wine that is semi-sweet but tart, not too dry. Runs about $15 a bottle and is like 13% alcohol

First of all, look for the local sales. You know, Longs, Rite-Aid, whatever is in your area. I think any white zin is good for both. Red wine will get you buzzed faster, but you have to be careful about the quality. Cheaper= hangover!

My favorite is Sutter's White Zinfandel. It's cheap, tasty and gives a buzz after 2 glasses.

Do you have a Trader Joes where you live?

I'm sure you've of the famous 2-Buck-Chuck!?!?
(I think it's ONLY at Trader Joes though......)

$2.00 a bottle.

It tastes great (with food or to get drunk), and is light on the hangover! (BTW Saki gives me gnarly hangovers!)
