First of all its not really how many drinks you have in the course of the evening that constitues binge drinking. That could be just going out with friends and getting good old fashioned drunk.
Binge drinking is more of a behavior pattern. It becomes a habit that is hard to break and is a form of alcoholism. It's also a means to escape whatever is currently bothering you. The pressure starts to build, or the habit becomes more and more frequent, and the next thing you know you're on a binge.
But that can be what I call a "mini-binge". To truly go on a full out alcoholic-type binge would probably involve several days in a row of constant drinking. And it's a sad thing to have to watch a person go through.

evaluate social ingesting equivalent to ingesting very few to break the ice. Its elementary and for some extra smooth to have a drink even as assembly new human beings. Bindge ingesting might want to be equivalent to getting inebriated. the quantity truly relies upon on the guy's tolerance. it isn't authentic to assert that adult males can manage extra alcohol then women individuals.

I think that it's not necessarily "how many", but how you handle the drinks you've had. For some, a drinking binge will consist of a 6-pack, for some other a 24-pack.
I also think that moral value and education come into this. Someone who comes from a family that drinks a lot and who thinks it's OK will not see things the same way than someone who comes from an Amish family, for example.
For some reason, I think of binge drinking as when the drinker ends up either sick, passed out, both, or any similar situation.

I would guess it is about 8-10. A doctor I know once told me 4-5, but I think doctors are conservative about that kind of thing

Are you getting drunk? Is that your purpose? If you are drinking excessively to get drunk, that is binge drinking. Why do you want to know? Do you think you have an issue? I hate not knowing details about these questions!

The question isn't how many drinks, it is how often. If every week you go out at least once and drink till you're blitzed, that is binge drinking.

different for each person. Pretty much determined by how much a person can handle. Gone beyond what you can handle and STILL drinking???!! that's binge drinking...
