You know how they are making bridal gowns now with beautiful colors, not just the traditional white or ivory. I have found a few gowns but I would really like to open my options up more. I have looked on David's Bridal and they have a few and Alfred Angelo offers a line, I just want more choice. Thanks!

Suppose your would-be-man cannot afford you to get a real ring... would you settle for an onion ring? Would you look at that man differently? Would you be offended? What? Why?

Let me start by saying that all the time spent at the beauty salon getting your hair, nails, and make up done has really paid off, Frank you look gorgeous! As you might have noticed there are two best men here tonight, and I'm sure that your all hungry so I'll keep this short. I'd like to express my heartfelt congratulations to you both, and to thank you for the honor of being the best man. Frank, you are my older brother and best friend. You have fought through some tough times with incredible determination and courage and have been successful at everything you have done. You have taught me so many things. In particular, you have shown me the determination and motivation required to succeed. Our healthy competition has pushed us both to greater heights. We have shared so many special memories together and I'm sure that there will be many more in the future. I look up to you in more ways than you can ever believe. thanks for your replies,i may have been unclear.i am the father,my daughter is having her mom walk her down the aisle.i suggested both of us walking her but she said no.i do feel hurt(sometimes i feel like not going at all)but it's her day.if i can't take her down the aisle,do you think i should have that "special"father-daughter dance.i'm so confused, but don't want to hurt her.i'll suffer the hurt inside, yet make her day a great one.is this a good attitude to take in such a case.thanks

Has anyone been to a wedding where the bride's mother walks her down the aisle, even when her father(divorced) is there at the wedding. And,if the mother walks her, does the father still have a special dance with his daughter.Serious replies only, please.Do you think all this is okay for a divorced father.

I asked this first on a fashion forum, not realizing that there was a more appropriate one... I will try it here.

Ok, so first of all, I know the person you get it from is most important. I just wonder if you think this would be too small of a diamond to get as an single solitaire engagement ring.

First, the diamond has some excellent qualities:
Color is highest quality at Color Grade D
Clarity is quite high at VVS1
Cut is a Brilliant Rose

Now, the carats--only .43

So the question is: would you be secretly disappointed the diamond wasn't bigger, even if you know the good color and clarity?

I should add that I am the giver of the ring, not the recipient!

This is what guys have to think about when they decide to pop the question--how big to make it, whether to sacrifice size for quality, is she going to be proud, or secretly wish it were larger, etc.? There is a whole host of insecurities alongside as you buy an engagement ring!

My best friend is getting married in Pacific Grove on Monterey Bay. I am not from the area and neither is she or her friends, so we need some help with a location for her bridal shower. It will likely be on a Thursday evening or Friday afternoon. We would like a restaurant or a tea room where we can have a private room to play some silly games and hang out. There will probably only be about 15 people there. Any ideas???

why not be more original than a boring round or princess diamond solitaire that everybody else has? there are other beautiful gemstones, some worth more than diamonds. why does it have to mean the guy is being cheap or can't afford a diamond when it could be you just aren't that materalistic or want to express individuality. i'm not engaged just curious.

Ahhh...so, after 4 1/2 years of dating, and nearly a year of looking for the perfect engagement ring for me, my boyfriend has found these two beautiful rings - and now we can't decide which one looks better! Since I am already wearing a simple-3-stone-diamond-gold ring, we want something that is going to be noticable as our NEW engagement ring. Something that you just can't help but to notice. But seeing as how we like both of them equally, we are in a bind! We decided to buy whichever one people think screams out 'We Are Getting Married!!!!'
Here are the two links...
Please, be honest!!!!
And if this helps, I wear both yellow and white gold..so it doesn't matter if its going to match my jewelry or not.
Thank you ahead of time...!

I need something that would be easy to memorize and sound sincere. I am the maid of honor at my best friend's wedding. We are all early 20's, so I'd like something that's not too stuffy, but very sentimental. Any help please???
