If you knew a girl who was pretty, smart, and funny, would you be turned off by the fact that she had a little acne and used tinted moisturizer to get some coverage? Would you lose respect for her or never get a crush on her?

Or, rather, do you even notice these things?

I am almost 30, almost done with my masters degree, work full time and am very successful. I am single, decent looking and straight. I also still live at home with my parents and other adult sibling whom are around the same age as myself. I don't plan on moving out until I either get married or get a job too far away to commute. My parents love having us still live at home and would never take rent money from their own children. I have also never had a girlfriend or even experienced my first kiss. Yes, I am a virgin (duh!) and intend to be until marriage. I am very involved with my community and I am a kind-hearted person. But for some reason, my living arrangements and my lack of relationship experience is a turn-off to women when that topic comes up...which inevitably always does. Why?????? Are they simply jealous of my "innocence," lack of responsibilities or the wise choices I have made in life? What do you think is the reason????????????? I think it is likely to be jealousy.

the girl who dumped said the 'date' we had was "boorrrinng", and even if i tried to strike a conversation with her, she yawns, loud. she even indulged in it as if dissing me, and laughed afterwards...

i want my revenge..i want to be interesting...i feel like shes missing a lot by not knowing who i really am...i just couldnt get over the thought the one i liked thinks im booorrriiing, and stays away from me for that reason. im no longer attracted to her but i so want to prove her wrong! what can i do???

(I wrote this last last year...so many things happned and im not the same person anymore, but when i feel down, i tend to remember this rejection....why is that? is this normal? shes the only person who turned me down coz i havent 'ventured' since...and sometimes i still want her to see that im interesting...i dont even see her anymore)

Well..I sorta have the biggest crush on a junior at my school. i am a freshmen. He is really hott and he gets really good grades and so many people tell me he's such a sweet and nice guy! Whenever I am around him i can't stop blushing and whenever i see him he makes me happy. i can't stop thinking or talking about him. but i barely know him and i have not said one word to him but i really want to get to know him. but i found out today that he is going out with some girl from a diff. town i don't kno why it is bothering me so much that he has a GF when i barely know him..why? and at lunch i sit across the aisle from him and he always glances at me & today he was like staring at me for seriously 5 min. and i made eye contact with him like five times and i am not just making this up..my friend also saw him..when he walked past me he looked over at me and an hour before that when i passed him in the hall his eyes looked straight @ me. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN i thought he has a GF?

So i like this guy and he likes me....AND ANOTHER GIRL! I talked to him yesterday and he says its on and off liek one day he likes me the next day he likes the other girl.

Okay if you answered my question about my personality change from 8th grade, you should know what this is about already.

Okay I saw one of the girls I like today and I had to help her today because I work in the media center at the school I go to. Surprisingly, I had no problem helping her and we even talked about some stuff she didn't need help with. What I can't stand is the fact that after I helped her and was done talking to her, I still went back to the way I was....feeling like I don't compare up to everybody else and no beautiful girl like the girls I tend to like would ever feel the same way about me as I would for them. I don't get why I feel like this because I have alot of good stuff going for me.

I can't see to get over it, and why should I?

We were watching a movie, and that's when he spit on me. I don't know what set him off, he seems to go from "really happy" to "really mean" within a short period of time. I try to tip toe around him and not do anything that might upset him, but the situation seems to be getting worse. I go to bed before he does, and when he comes to bed he wakes me up with insults and calls me hateful names and tells me he hates me and that I am grotesque, he says alot of really nasty hurtful things about me. When I confront him about it he tells me I am making it all up and that I am "WAY OUT THERE" why does he blame this on me? It's always my fault according to him. I honestly don't know what to make of this situation. Any advise?

Anytime I've been on one of these dating sites I've saw a girl I'd like to get to know and sent her a message and you always get nothing back. eHarmony.com just finds no matches all together. No matter how you fill out the questionnaire. I've tried changing my approach from everything from just a simple Hi to being silly like asking do you think we'll have corndogs in the year 3000. I've even tried to insult them just to see if I would get an insult back. Just to make sure it was a real person. It doesn't matter how many hours you seem to take sending out messages to different girls you never get a response. Why get on the site if you aren't going to talk to anyone?

How far would you go to get the one you loved?

I haven't told him. He's gone, and I dont think he loves me back. But I realized (more like accepted) today I cant do it without him. I need him and I love him.

Should I tell him, or just let him go? I dont think he feels the same way.

I broke up with my ex twice, before asking him back. He didn't take me back because we are long distance, and we would just end up back where were were--unhappy.
Even though I have sobbed many times, I think I have finally and painfully accepted that we can never get back together again. However, I don't want to lose him in my life, which I know will happen because we live far apart. I'd rather have him in my life than not. Even when I broke up with him and when he broke up with me, he asked all those times, "We can still be friends though, right?"

Does he mean it? Or is he just saying that to be the "nice guy" and because he's supposed to? I don't want to intrude...

How long should I wait before attempting to be friends? Should I cut off all contact for some months?

I went to the store on night (close to midnight). I was ready to go to bed and I was not fixed up. I had my sweats, t shirt, slippers and no makeup..YIKES... I know. But I saw this CUTE guy and tried to avoid him and he saw me!! LOL...But I just walked the other way...He came up to me and started talking to me. My GF and I you could say technical broke up we were both going through some diff times with family, school ect. Well it finaly got to us and we got into a huge fight harsh words were exchanged and I half meaningly said we should end it. Well during the time we were not together, about 2 weeks, she slpet with a guy from her work. As of now, we are talking again and I will admit I was alot at fault but my main question is how do I deal with that situtaion of her sleeping with someone from work??? She said it was totaly physical one time deal and she did it because she felt lonely and needed attention. She is a very needy person like that I know. I feel that if we are to patch things up I do not want her working at the same place as the guy she was with especialy if I'm making effort to fix things. Is that unreasonable? I mean its not like a job job its P/T fast food joint. Also, how do I overcome or get through the fact of her being with someone else? cause it stings real bad.

Well my fiance and sons father was killed in a car accident Sept 21st and i am preg with his 2nd child which was concieved 5 days before he died well anyways i just recently found out that he cheated on me after our son was born over 2 yrs ago should i be upset which i am or should i just let it slide its not like i can confront him he is no longer here and i want to think about all the good stuff but i know there has to be more thats he done and it really hurts me.. Am i wrong for being upset and also i have his mother trying to blame me for him getting in the car like it was my fault that i didnt do anything to stop it when i did try and he wouldnt listen

This guy in my class seems to joke around, be sarcastic, and tease me a lot. One time, he was getting fustrated because our partner was doing something wrong and it looked like he was trying to hide his fustration...like he just could'nt get mad....I was right there sooo...Yesterday, I gave him wrong information and he asked how come I did and he had a smile on his face while talking. We talk day to day and she's done stuff like tapped my arm in the hallway and when we walk out of a class together sometimes she holds my arm. She's a couple months older then me though, which may not appeal to her. Also, if it means anything she's called me "her bestest friend" in a playful kinda way in front of some of my friends.

Recently I have noticed a HUGE change in my boyfriend's attitude. We used to be able to talk about anything. Now it seems I can't even get an answer out of him. Its been A little over a year and i still havent found a new boyfriend. The guys that only hit on me are guys that arent my type or just want one thing. Im a very picky girl. Anyway, when i was a sophomore, i was lets say.. a party girl, i used to do so much& date alot. i was 'promiscuous' i guess, and i thought that was why, because they thought i was a sl*t. But now, im a Senior & ive learned my lesson, Im more focused on my life now, But i really want a boyfriend. What should i do? like, if i see a guy at a club or a mall, im afraid to go up to him because i believe that the guy is suppose to step up to the girl& thats how it usually plays out. But then the guys that i want to come up to me DONT& the ones i dont want to come up to me Do. Only when i have alcohol inside me i have the courage to go up to them.. LOL. & I also notice that Guys that are attracted to me are the guys that want something else from me. I Dont think i dress "sl*tty"and i know i dont come off as a "Oh F*ck me" type. Is it my face or something? lol.. But anyway, Whats a way of getting a guys attention so theyd come up to you? I mean, i know im not ugly, So why cant i find a guy who likes me for me and doesnt want me for ONE thing.
