We all have something that we like to hear, so what is your favorite compliment? I love for a guy to tell me that he likes my laugh. It is not the usual, and it is something that just gives me the warm and fuzzies. So tell me your favorites . . .

Just started dating again after quite a few years! It seems most guys will tell you what you want to hear, and then totally change the story the next time you see them. I'm having a hard time trusting that any guy is for real. How do you find a sincere one, or know that they are telling the truth?

i hurt him so much, even when i'm not trying. he hurts me too sometimes. he makes me feel neglected and that he doesnt care for me. he keeps telling me that he is here for me but whenever i dont feel it, i end up doing something like talking to other guys (just talking). i know i seek attention when he doesnt give it to me. i do love him and i want to make things work but everytime something like this happens, i know how much i am hurting him. its so hard to let go because we've been together for so long and i love him dearly. should i let him go?

which one of these do you think is the biggest barrier to overcome when it comes to dating

1)race(dating someone outside your culture)

2)age (dating someone way older or way younger than you)

3)socioeconomic class(dating someone way richer or way poorer than you, or way less educated, or way more educated, etc.)

4)attractiveness(dating someone "out of your league")

A lot of guys say that they like short girls because it looks better in the relationship but i think that, that doesn't matter as long as you both love each other and stuff. In the other hand i think that the guy always has to be taller than the girl at least not shorter than her!!

I mean if she truly liked me wouldn't she sleep with me for free. I'm not saying that she is always asking for stuff, but I know she expects it. So, isn't that like paying for sex? If i take her out I her laid, if i by her flowers I get laid. It's kinda like I'm leasing her, with the opsion to buy. I know that sounds bad, but thats what it feels like....I go buddies that say the samething. Any advice. Women won't even talk to a man unless her has a job, car, money and his own place. ( not at home)

He is dating another woman, living with her, actually. And it's obvious he was in love with her (he may still be). But I can't stop thinking about him and we are really good for each other. I could see myself being with him forever. But I know that because he's doing this with me (cheating), he's probably more likely to cheat in the future. He's told me he loves me before, and I always tell him not to tell me that, but I can't stop wanting to be with him. They're not married. They're having problems. (This is just me rationalizing.)

But how do you argue with love?
Unfortunately it sounds like a cliched affair (he'll leave her for me!), but it's different. I'm not expecting him to leave her for me. I'm expecting him to leave her because they aren't supposed to be together and they maybe we could be together. But I don't want him to lose interest in me so I can't stop the sex...

Help?

I met this girl through the internet,we had dinner, good conversation-went to her house, watched a movie, made out for a while. I emailed her a few days later saying I had fun, let's meet again, she emailed me back the next day saying she had fun too, wanted to get together. I emailed her the next day... Didn't hear a response for a week and a half. I emailed again, she emailed saying she was "busy trying to get time off from work". I asked if she wanted to catch another movie that week or weekend, she said yes, definitely. Weekend came,I called,no call back. Wednesday I emailed her asking what happened--I said if she's too busy to date, that's fine, just tell me. She said she wanted to see me, but her phone was not working. We made a new plan for the coming Saturday. I called that day,but she cancelled saying she forgot she had plans already, but she'd call me that night. She never called. I emailed her and dumped her. She wrote back, said I'm a demanding a--hole,not worth her time. Wtf?

The relationship advice gurus/ "experts" think they have it all right. Sorry, but it all seems like recycled highly idealized "conventional" wisdom without any genuine solid practical down to earth solutions for those of us who live in the real world. I've searched for advice for me in my life and in my relationship and I keep reading the same stuff over and over again, and even when I apply what I read, it backfires.

I have a few questions mainly for the men.
1. How come guys never want to be in a relationship?
2. If he says he's not ready for a relationship, how long does it usually take for him to want one?
3. I know this guy who is 27, when do you think he would be ready for a steady relationship?
4. If a guy says he just wants to be friends, in due time do you think he'll want to be more? and would I be crazy if I wait?
5. What makes a guy decide to settle down or be in a long term relationship?

He is divorced, I have never married. Curious to find out the "how many dates before you do it" rule in general for Scottish society. I can wait as long as necessary.. I don't want to ruin the relationship by accepting an invitation too soon.
