If you guys are meant to be, let it be. I am 7 years older than my boyfriend and we are perfect for each other. I don't see him as younger and he doesn't see me as older. We once forgot and we thought we were the same age once.

It really does depend on the ages, theres a huge difference in life experience and maturity between 13 and 20 or 16 and 24, where as theres not much difference in life experiences or maturity between 25 and 32.

my gparents are 12 years apart, but they have the same life experiences and maturity levels.

also think of it this way:

a 7 year old dating a newborn, is that cool with you or creepy?

I don't think 7 years is too big of a difference. My hubbie and I are 5 years apart and I love it. I really don't think age is something to worry about because when your with him you wont really notice the age difference. I told myself that after you turn 18 age doesn't matter... just your maturity.

It depends on how old you are. My ex wife and I are 7 years apart and got married when she was 22 and I was 29. I wanted to get married before I turned 30 and wanted her to graduate college~~fortunately the timing worked out but did not insure a life-long marriage, although I am not sure what does.

I don't think so. My boyfriend and I are 5 years apart and everything is working out really well. 99.9% of the time, the age difference isn't even a problem.

It really depends on what the age is. If it were 13 and 20, there's NO way it would work.

If there is a mutual level of maturity, it can most definately work.

First of all, depends on how old you are. If you're real young, probably not a good thing. But my parents are 18 years apart and they've been married for 28 years and never happier. So age doesn't matter much.

tough question! it really depends on the ages of both parties as well as the gender, one thing I know for sure it is a big age gap, dont rush the relationship let it flow, over time you will know if the difference is too big; Good Luck.

As long as you don't expect Chris Hanson to jump out into your living room to confront your man... then no. That is not a huge age difference. The important thing is how you feel about each other.
