Singles & Dating - 19 September 2007

I met my boyfriend when i was 15. I was outgoing, funny, interesting and nice. He was at that time too loud, outgoing and extremely needed for attention. He practically stepped on me and he became the only one who could be funny, outgoing and friendly. On top of that he would laugh at me when i would try to speak English (its my second language) i became sort of embarrassed to even speak English when he was around. I became "shy" the only language i've been able to speak with him is my mother language and he understands it. I speak English with everybody else and Im outgoing but its going away more and more... i need him all the time to be by my side in order to feel confident and secure. Now Im so quiet and almost extremely shy with other people, unless they speak Spanish too. Im 20 yrs old now and I am insecure and sad. What should i do? im so trapped, stressed, i dont know what to do... im drowning.

One of my male best friends Cordell flirts w/me all the time even though he has a girlfriend. Well this morning in the cafeteria at school, he walked right by me and sat down w/ his GF and didn't even notice me! Well him and his GF talked for a couple of minutes and then he held her hand! It made me so so so mad! But at the same time I wanted to cry! He talked to her, held her hand and was right by her side the whole entire time and never even bothered to speak to me!

Well I havent told him how much I really like him and I'll be completely honest, I'm head over heels for him! He has everything about him that I want in a guy but he's taken and it almost kills me to even see his GF! But the way he acted around her this morning gave the impression that they were the absolute perfect couple and they acted like they were meant for each other. I'm very emotional about it and I'm grounded so I can't call my BFF and ask for her advice. Can you plez give me sum advice! I really need help!

My boyfriend of almost two years has completely fallen off the train when it comes to romance and sex. i have tried to talk to him about it in a sensible manor. I am a very understanding girl but he hasn't taken me out he doesn't give me romantic or passionate kisses and we haven't had sex in quite some time. Anybody have advice or can explain this odd behavior? And he is not cheating on me or watching pornography.

I'm chinese and I went to an egyptian coptic church to find a husband and I added a bunch of people to my contact list. Two weeks later I forgot who I added to my msn, I spoke to a guy whose contact I didn't recognize and he said how do I know you? And I said I might have added you from a dating site and then he told me to remove him from my contact list.
Do people think your slutty or that your just going to church to meet guys when you tell them you joined a dating site?

There's a guy I met who has been e-mailing, sending SMS (almost everyday even when I don't reply) and lately has been calling me up, for 7 months now. He's really nice and says things like "I'm glad I can keep calling you up now", sends me SMS kisses and always checks up to see if I'm already home or if I had my dinner. I've been told and have read that it stops being fun for a guy if a woman pursues too much. Is that true? How much is too much? I've been on 4-5 dates with this guy and we like each other but I always stop myself from calling or writing him unless he calls or writes me first. I am a guy and I don't have any friends that are girls. Well I did, but then I got attracted to her and things just became weird. I can't manage to see girls just as friends because I guess my male make up won't allow it...How do I overcome this problem. I tried treating them like one of the guys but that didn't work. I don't know how to approach females and be just friends. I always have this anxiety to court them in a way and I do things to satisfy them.

My best friend has been dating a guy exclusively for four months and he never directly asks her out (not since the first two dates) always asks what she is doing that evening or Friday and she tells him what she wants to do ro where she wants to go.He says that he figures if she wants to see him she will just come over and he doesnt want it to be a big deal if she says no. Than sounds like he is keepin his distance to keep from being rejected to me but I never heard that before. What do you guys think?

If a girl has a bf, would a girl still want another guy there just to kill time when they are away from each other? Or to satisfy other needs (not sexually)? Or do they just want to get as much guys as they can, regardless if they have a bf or not? Because people in general like being liked.

I'm living with my fiance and we fight all the time. But, he is so hard to deal with. Anytime anything difficult comes up, we just end up arguing because he just walks away and ignores the conversation. He works 10 -12 hour days and says he deals with enough b.s. at work and doesn't want to deal with it when he comes home. Small things that may upset me i ask if he'll work on , he say's he'll try but won't make any promises because he doesn't compromise for anybody, including me. My ex got in touch with me recently. We broke up 6 months ago. He was the love of my life.

I went to see him and we started talking about why the relationship ended. He indicated that he wanted to give us another chance. I was reluctant to get my heart broken again, so I acted stand offish. A day or so later, I realised I that I acted distant, so I texted him and told him "Im proud of you, your doing great things with your life, so keep in touch" and all he texted back was "OK"...

last year I was 120lbs when i met my bf and i ate healthy and was very active and had high self-esteem, but since we were dating we ate and drank out alot, he would tell me to indulge once a week and that he loved me regardless if or if not i gained weight. We're still together but now I have a low self esteem, im fat and i feel ugly i dont dress sexy anymore and i get jealous, and i always think hes with someone better than me, something that i was never like before. He doesnt put me down but hes also not a good motivator. Both of us have been eating healthier and exercise but i still see no results and hes lost alot of weight...Please help I need to lose the weight FAST. I want to get my self confidence back and be happy with him. Im afraid I'm going to lose him because Im so unhappy and insecure now.

and the girl that got her the job is one of her friends
so my gf tells me that she found out that her friend has a guy friend that works there and the dude has a crush on my gf

I absolutely ADORE my boyfriend. we tell each other "I love you", but I'm looking to say something else to him that would make him smile.
