I've been told and have read that it stops being fun for a guy if a woman pursues too much. Is that true? How much is too much? I've been on 4-5 dates with this guy and we like each other but I always stop myself from calling or writing him unless he calls or writes me first. Am I being rude or silly or am I doing the right thing?

You know, I think it use to be almost taboo for a woman to pursue a man. But....I think that has changed greatly over the years. I met my wife almost 19 years ago, and I was standing on a city street in Saint Louis. She came up to me(all 5 feet off her)and ask my name? We had a conversation and here we are married 17 years almost and have a beautiful 13 year old daughter! So... go ahead and call him up...GET ER DONE!!

I wouldnt say rude. But possibly silly. It would all depend on if you are the old fashioned type through and through. I know I like when a girl im dating calls me without me having called her 1st.

To me it shows she is thinking about me even when im not there.

Traditionally....yes..especially because some guys feel intimidated or akward when a women pursues them...older guys are less likely to feel like this and actually might find it flattering/an ego booster...but I think in this day and age...it shouldn't matter.

"He'll chase her so hard til she catches him"...goes the little ditty - or something like that...Looks like you've already locked on to someone you'd like to keep...The issue for you now is - how much do you want to keep him?...If you think that he is worth your time, then you would do wise to let him know at every opportunity - not in the tit-for-tat scenario you describe...When he is on your mind, let him know, even if it is just to say, "I am just thinking about you."...A conversation or relationship can dovetail nicely from a comment like that...Give it a try and good luck

call him and write if you like him (not too much though or you'll seem desperate). it is time to let go the "call after three days" mentality and follow our hearts.
