While watching tv at my girlfriend's house, she suddenly turned to me and told me that I could change the channel at any time if I wanted to. I presumed that this meant she would be willing to watch whatever I wanted to. Then she said to me, "Nothing gay, please." When I finally did find something I liked, she looked at me disapprovingly and said, "I thought I said nothing gay. This is kinda gay." So I handed her back the remote. She quickly switched to another random channel. This, by the way has happened before. My girlfriend refers to certain thing's that I like as gay or lame, or a waste of time. If she loves me like she claims she does, should she say thing's like this, or am I overreacting? I feel that even if she doesn't like some of the thing's that I do, she could at least show respect for the fact that those thing's are important to me.

Statements like "love me and I'll leave you" or "don't fall in love with me - you will scare me off" imply that merely the expression of love implies a level of committment that is binding. Why should it be that we can not express love easily in a romantic relationship without giving the idea that we want our beloved to do more or be more in the relationship?

Me and my girlfriend have been together for a year and a month now...and it seems we are changing..I am 18 and she is 19, we are both young and surely fine tuning, deciding who we are, and what we want to do for life. It seems as though the more time that passes the less in common we have with eachother. Things like she is perticularly shallow and thinks that the outside beauty is more important than inside beauty. I dissagree and have no problem with her feeling that way but I dont want to live with it and would like to move on. I have a more possitive out look on this were as she doesnt. She tends to be a very impulsivly angry person, and I dont know how to let her down easy ( I owe her a laptop due to a mother's day house cleaning accedent to boot...)......even though she was told not to leave it out... I still love her but love by very far has been the easiest part of this relationship and I fear it will get worn thin. given every detail what would be the best idea for me to do?

Okay, so my boyfriend is in the army, he has been gone for just about two months. I love him with all m heart, we have been together for almost one year and nine months on the 12th. I told him, before he left, that I would wait for him to be done with the army. I am willing to out my heart on the line and wait for him knowing that it might not work out in the end, and that I could get really hurt. BUT because I love him that much, I am willing to do it. I just got a letter from him today saying that he doesn't know if he is holding on to nothing. I just started college and he is worried that I am going to find someone else. But I know myself, and I know I'm not going to... because I am not a big fan of people so I try to stay away from them. He asked me for advice: should he let go, or keep holding on. How do I get him to understand that he is the only person I want? And that he is the person that I want to spend the rest of my life with. I've sent him like 6 or 7 letters.

My boyfriend left for college three weeks ago. I leave one week from now. We agreed that we would break up while we were apart. However, I made him promise me he would not mess around with other girls until I left, because all my friends are out of town and I have nothing to do but be sad that he is gone. Thing is, his web page has tons of pictures of him drunkenly hanging on girls, girls and more girls.
I have to say, I haven't be entirely faithful either. Since he has left I've hooked up with two guys, and had sex with one of them. They don't mean anything to me, but I just need some sort of companionship, especially since I know what he's been up to.
Seeing those pictures makes me sick, but I don't know if I can say anything to him, especially since I haven't told him about the two guys.
HELP. Can I say something? Should I tell him?

ok the thing is that i liked this girl and she rejected me. So i tried to put it down and moved on. I am 19 and hate physical contact other then boxing, which I love and am damn good at. I have not probably hugged some one since about 8th grade when a girl hugged me which was uncomfortable for me. Since then I have not had any physical contact with anyone other then knocking people out in the ring. I just dont like to be touched, so stay out of my invisible bubble. I dont understand why people cant get that I just dont like any physical affection what so ever, never kissed a girl or anything cuz I just dont like all that touchy feely crap. I am built like crazy and girls always want to touch my six pack, but when I dont let them they get the impression that I am gay or something, no just dont like to be touched. By the way I cant stand the thought of gay people, but as long as they stay away from me who cares what they do. Why cant people get this and why do they think I am gay???????? I am not gay and dont have a problem so quit with that not my question

I go to work and tell myself I won't talk to her, but find myself chatting away. I don't know if she realizes I like her, but it's driving me crazy. Should I just stop talking to her or let her know how I feel? I feel bad becuase she's married, I can't stop my feelings though. well i was at this club last night for frosh week for university and i went with a group of people. so i started dancing by myself and like 2 min a smoking girl came to tap me on the shoulders and a gave me a sign she wanted to dance. so we started dancing, We started grinding, she was an amazing dancer and i started to get alittle aroused (what guy doesnt). At the time i wasnt thinking about trying to pursue her so i just left it at the dancing. we danced for about 2-3 min then she left and went with her friends. was this a sign i shoulda went after her or did she jus want to dance, cuz now i cant stop thinking about why i didnt ask for her number or anything. to me it wasnt obvious but what do you guys think? what does it mean when she just leaves after a song saying nothing to you but going wit her friends. I've been ridiculed ever since for not making a move what do yall think?
