I think it would depend on him if he is ready for a relationship. After spending most of his time with his children to me I think it would be hard at first but as time goes on he would adjust to it. I kinda could relate to him, I'm not a widower but I was married for almost 23 years and now I'm divorced, to me that was hard for me to accept...I still have a hard time starting a relationship with anyone.

It is wonderful that you have devoted so much to your children. Now that they have had time to adjust to the loss of their mother, it is time for you to find companionship for yourself too. Just join the "Parents without Partners" club in your area, or some other club or organization that you are interested in . There you will find women that share your interests. Start of by going to lunch or for coffee. Eventually you will find one that you would like to see more often and in more intimate situations. It is like riding a bike. The romance will come back to you once you have established an interest in a lady.

ha...can be very romantic....just because you are a widower doesn't mean that "you" are dead...sorry i know that sounds crass....don't doubt yourself....but invest in yourself...get out there and have fun....i am sure your wife would have wanted to you to keep living life to the fullest...your love for her will never ever change....but you still need to love yourself...your children....yep...most likely be pissed...yet at the same time happy to see you happy...i know...i was one of those kids....but you can't be alone forever...nor should you be...kids will grow up and move on and have lives of their own...so should you...i wish you all the best that life has to offer....don't let your past haunt you...let your future find you
