I have a super sweet and totally straight hairdresser who I just started going to. He's been dropping hints that he's into me and has started e-mailing me for personal advice. Tons of sweet compliments that he doesn't give other clients. He's not a flirt. He's a total Virgo though and he's very scientific and treads very lightly. Is it best to just take it at his pace and keep my poker face on (I don't think he knows I'm into him) or start getting flirty. I guess this is a virgo question really to find out what wins them.

What do you think about a male going alone to a nightclub to drink, dance and pick up girls. I see that most guys are always with their girlfriends or male buddies to feel comfortable. I also understand that if you are a very social person you will not feel intimidated and start a conversation with new friends. My case is that my college friends and coworkers are either older than me and don't want to join me or are just plain boring.

We havent been dating very long but are definately falling for each other. We arn't having sex, we are planning on waiting til marriage, The thing is I havent met the parents yet only because they found out I was 20 and immediately figured all i want is sex and dont want us to date...I am not like most guys I respect women very much. I have never done drugs, or anything bad in my life, but yet they wont even meet me. What i mean to say is that...

all girls are nice...but you can really TELL if she's just SINCERELY SWEET and if she's just a girl who's nice?

by sincerely sweet, she's human and has feelings - she's hurt when she's hurt and will let you know but won't "sabotage" you...she's a loyal "good girl"; not high maintience at all

by a girl who's "nice" - it varies...she COULD potentially give you "revenge" and just not care and have no sympathy breaking hearts...could be high maintience?

My little brother (14 years old) has a middle-eastern friend (also 14) who has a fairly attractive sister who is 22 years old. They (the middle-eastern family), live right around the corner from my house. My brother's friend (named Irtiza) offered to help hook me up with his older sister. He also mentioned that she wants to meet me. The only problems are that I can't just go over to their house randomly and introduce myself to her. Besides the fact that I'm to old to just "hang out with Irtiza" (I'm 17), it would also be awkward to go there and talk to her for the first time. Their mother is quite protective and some attempts have failed. The family is also straight from Lebanon. Other problems include the age difference (which she (his sister) is not aware of) and my black race (which she is aware of). Any suggestions on how to contact her validly, and introduce myself?

There's this guy in school I met three weeks ago. We sit next to eachother in science. We didn't really talk. But, the the first week of school we had a Church dance and while I was at it, he asked me to dance. Several times actaully. I said yes, because your not supposed to say "no". Plus, it was the nice thing to do. I found we're both in the same religion and such.

And now, he really really likes me. He walks me to class, encourages me, and has invited me to do things with him... Now don't get me wrong, he's really nice, and I like him as a friend, but I just don't feel that way about him. There's no butterflies in my stomach or anything.

I'm not sure what to do, we aren't going out, but I can tell he definately likes me, he's flirting and talking to me and such. I want to know the easiest way to hint at him that I'm not interested, without totally breaking his heart.

I am involved in ASB of my school. One of my ASB members is this beautiful girl named Jessi (fake name). She's very outgoing, kind, and beautiful. But she and I come from very different worlds. She's a cheerleader and has set of friends in more preppy and atheleticc areas... and I have friends who are more into Academic, Musical, and Art area.

I know some of you may say to find another person... but everytime I see her at a meeting I can't help the feeling I get of wanting to get to know her better. I am almost 19 and I have been shy around girls ever since I can remember. I was never able to tell any of my crushes how I felt or ask them out or anything. I am going to college this fall and never had a girlfriend or even a first kiss, I am way to shy to even approach girls. . I just dont feel that women are attracted to me. I dont know why. I am really athletic and built, I am good looking I think never been told otherwise, kind honest and respectful, pretty smart, can have fun doing just about anything, but I just feel like I am unattractive for some reason. I dont know how to stop the shyness either, even the few girls I knew was still shy around them. Throughout my teens I was never really that into sex but now it's all i think about, even have a few toys, just not anyone to do it with. My boyfriend tries to keep me from excelling. He always says 'im not good enough,' and he purposely will not help me do something because he wants to see me fail. He tells lies saying that my friends phone him and tell him bad things about me, trying to brake up our friendships. He is an adult (27) and Im 22. The problem is that I dont have much family or friends to stay with and we live together. I want to leave but dont know where to go. Im looking for a job, but until then Im pretty much broke. He's not very goodlooking and kinda overweight. I dont know if thats a factor, but I know I can find better. The problem is I have no resources yet to get out and find better. He is not physically abusive, but definetly emotionally. What should I do??
