Singles & Dating - 6 May 2007

As part of my work on male gender & sexuality with straight men, when I brought up the issue of man's sexual need for men with young unmarried men, who had not yet 'established' their manhood (since they'd not reproduced as yet)............ they were extremely open to the idea & say they all have such feelings. They refused to label men who had sex with men as 'homosexual' even if it was exclusive (since homosexual in my society means a non-man, a transgendered, a ****** (i.e. one who takes in anally/ orally). Of course they also make advances towards me............. that's the done thing.

But when I raised the issue with married men, some of them (though they're a minority, others just remain silent) would say all kinds of derogatory things about male-male sexual need........ even call them 'homosexuals' ( a great term of abuse in our society) but still make advances towards you.

Of course the advances are made in a disguised/ indirect manner.

What's the deal here?

Can u explain?

I have recently met a guy and we started dating. There is a part of me that really likes him, another part of me that thinks he is really ugly and looks like a loser. I am ashamed of myself for being so shallow, but I think I would be embarassed to introduce him to my friends and let alone my family. I know that looks fades, and I am pretty but no model. So why am I so concerned???!!!!

should this be revealed? If its so unusual the other person might not think its sexy, just plain strange or never even known people like that kind of thing, how do you explain it without them getting put off you? Should they accept it as a funny little thing that you like or would they be justified to run out the door? my bf and i have been together for 2.5 years now.

anytime he touches me (except for when we are in public) and i mean anytime (giving me a hug,holding me from behind,snuggling w/me on the couch,holding me in bed) he gets turned on. sometimes it happens with him just brushing my hand!!

Okay, here is my problem, I have been dating my current girlfriend for about 4 months and I love her so much and she says the same thing for me. A little background. We have an age difference of about five years, I am 24 and she is 19. During this time she has told me that she has slept with thirteen guys including having a threesome, and I have only slept with four women. After a lot of work I have finally been able to look onto the future of our relationship because she says that she is a person of God and that she has changed (This change happened when she had her threesome in Jan. btw). me and the ex have been broken up for 3 1/2 yrs ... i was over him and went on to a better guy (he also got a new girlfriend) .over time i heard from people the stupid things he was saying about me, real unbelievable lies..... all this was happening in my senior year, i graduated high school one year ago, so i haven't seen him for a while (thank god) but i was on myspace recently & saw his profile while browing around... he had on their a slideshow of his friends from high school and also had a picture of ME on there that he drew on and wrote something really stupid under it ...
what the hell is up with this dude? i just get so mad cause i never confronted him about the lies he was spreadin in school , i was just waiting for it all to blow over since it was my last year, but apparently he hasn't stopped the stupid sh** yet...

Provide a yes or no. I love him but he's hiding something. I've confronted him several times about it , he won't roll. It's hurting my relationship. I wish I could just let it go, but I can't I feel like when the truth surfaces it'll be horrible so I am in constant react mode.

I know this guy from my team (we worked together on a project) and I suspected that he liked me a bit because he was always nicer to me than any of the other guys with who I worked. Recently, after finishing the assignment we had few drinks in a bar and he was touchy freely with me which I didn't mind because I liked him. We left the bar and he walked me home and he asked me if I needed to be walked to my room. I didn't want to give him the wrong impression so I panicked and declined but truthfully I wouldn't mind kissing him or cuddling. I just didn't want to go all the way. Now, if I invite him over will that give him the wrong impression? Is it different if a chick invites a guy over than if a guy invites himself over?

I never have, with the exception of 3 years older max but I'm only in my early 20s so I guess that would've been weird when I was younger lol. But now, I'm wondering what it would be like. Have you ever dated an older man? What did you like/dislike about the relationship? If you haven't, would you consider it? thing singles to engage in? I'm apporaching my mid 30s and tend to be drawn to the younger 20something set, since like me they're still trying to "find themselves", career-wise and because a good portion of them are single.. A bulk of my own friends are now married and have kids. I think they have their free time all layed out - when not at work, hang out with the wife and children! I'm a litle confused being in my 30s and single. Where do people of my age set go to have fun and what type of hobbies and/or activities are good ones to involve oneself in? I like to dance, but many places that have dance floors tend to cater to 20something singles. I hate feeling and possibly looking like the "old man in the club". I'd appreciate your input.

Okay, so like in two weeks, it's gonna be me & my boyfriend's one month. Yeah, I know it's nothing, but still. And we were talking. And he asked me what I wanted, and I said something that comes from the heart. And I asked him the same question, and he said something about a book?
