I never have, with the exception of 3 years older max but I'm only in my early 20s so I guess that would've been weird when I was younger lol. But now, I'm wondering what it would be like. Have you ever dated an older man? What did you like/dislike about the relationship? If you haven't, would you consider it? I think I would b/c it seems that most of the guys my age are really stupid and immature, and can't even hold their own in an intelligent conversation. haha what do you think?

lol I'm enjoying you guys' responses. To clarify, I do NOT want a sugar daddy. I'm in school working my tail off for a successful career in business, which brings me to another point: I want the guy to be on my level financially, which is another reason I think an older guy would be good. So many college guys (or even grads) don't have their head on right when it comes to their careers. Any many of them have bad credit! Not to be mean, but what use do I have for that?! I work hard, so why do I need someone bringing me down?? U know ladies?

They are more likely to commit. I wouldn't recommend it as I am not attracted to them.

I'm 22 and my boyfriend is nearly 27. I've always been attracted to much older guys (my first crush was a 24 year old when I was 9, much to my family's amusement!)
I've only ever dated older guys, although my current boyfriend is my first serious relationship. He's looking to settle down, but not immediately, so at least I know he's not scared of commitment. In fact, I'm probably more scared of it than he is!
To me, he'd be great no matter his age, but I do think the age gap means he has more life experience which can be a good thing in some ways. However, it also means I'm a virgin with no real history, whereas he has had one long term relationship and slept with a couple of women. I still think true love can overcome such potential problems though.
His conversation skills are brilliant, I can introduce him to friends and dander off, knowing he'll be fine chatting to them by himself. He's financially secure, I've been good with my money at college and have managed to have no debts on graduation. He has a house, and a car, although that obviously also includes a mortgage.
Long term, men die younger than women, so if you marry with a large age gap, you could be looking at a longer time on your own down the line. But that's looking very far away!!

I always tend to be attracted to older men for some reason, meaning a few years older, probably for the same reasons other women do to, I guess we feel maybe they are more experienced, mature, even when I was 14 years old I went out with a guy 5 years older then me, lol, my father didn't like that one very much, I think it just depends on you and the other person, if it feels right and you are both happy, so be it.

i believe that age is just a number. As long as u r mature about it i think that it can work! Besides now days a man has to be atleast three years older than a woman for it to work because he is then on the same page as you and is as mature as u! Some women are very mature for their age and sometimes need a man that is ten years older than her to be able to have a connection! So yes i say that if u r into an older man go for it! U will be stable with him anyway!

Ive dated an older man before, i was 22, and he was 35, if you think going out with an older man is better because of the maturity level, think again. Its better to be with someone your own age because you get to grow with that person.

Tried it , liked it. With an older man there is a longer track record to reflect on such as financial success, relationship success and they are usually more emotionally stable.

I totally agree with you! hun, I would consider if this "guy" was max 5 years older than me.. the guys on our age are just too dumb to even understand a woman! They never listen to us!

many things can happen-they will only think about their satisfaction in bed, try to impose their thought on you, can treat you like an inferior... so think more. i had someone who was 20 yrs older than me, i had to break the relationship. but still i like seeing older man.

i'm 32 and i've leaned both ways as far as age goes, older men make better lovers and younger ones, you can show them what you like, older ones are better ones because they usually have more experience than a younger girl would..........so yes, and have fun
