my bf and i have been together for 2.5 years now.
anytime he touches me (except for when we are in public) and i mean anytime (giving me a hug,holding me from behind,snuggling w/me on the couch,holding me in bed) he gets turned on. sometimes it happens with him just brushing my hand!!
does this mean we are just really emotionally connected and that he really loves me or is it just b/c he wants sex all the time?
we have been sleeping together since the 3 month mark of our relationship and we sleep together about once a week

we're only having sex once a week due to our schedules and the fact that we don't live together. sometimes it's only once every 2 weeks. we both work nite shift on the exact same days but i have my kids during the week so every other friday and saturday we have off to ourselves

My hubby was like that. My last bf was like that. My current bf is like that. I don't make too much about it. It doens't have much to do with their emotional connection to you - I think it's just knowing they can.

No, what it means is that you are "physically connected"..!
What's wrong with you girl...? After 2.5 years you certainly must know what that little toy can and will do... and why...!
Obviously, his sex drive is very healthy and the fact that your relationship has lasted this long reveals he has a healthy mind too unless you have reason to think he looks elsewhere.
Sexual satisfaction is a reward of love, not a pre-requisite for love. It's normal for a guy to have arousals constantly and it will be a lifetime event because he cannot control it.
Enjoy the love you share and build upon it. Once a week now may become two or three times a day later so don't scare away from him. Right up my alley since I have accused of just wanting sex from relationships before for the exact same thing.
No, him being turned on by the slightest touch of your hand doesn't mean he is just there for sex. It means he finds you to be an extremely sexy woman and you should be proud and excited that he has that reaction to you. It is just a physical thing, doesn't have anything to do with what he feels for you.
And being a physical thing, you might try sleeping with him more often, give the man some time with his head cleared instead of having to walk around with a constant erection.

Well, if you sleep together about once a week, then I would suggest that it has been a long time since you two have been together, if you sleep together about once a week, then it means that he only gets to "be with you" once a week.
I would say what it means is that he is being human, and if he has to wait a week, then yeh, touching you or doing anything he does to you and you to him would definately turn him on.
He is only male and he is only human.

Eh, men have needs, I think it means that while he appreciates you (greatly, as it sounds) physically, he psychologically needs you too and the mental bond sounds really strong how you described it. That and you might want to throw in a couple more sleep overs a week.

my boyfriend and i were like that before we were even sleeping together. i'd get like that too. i think it's chemical, you associate the scent and touch of the person with sex. it's not really a sign of love, although maybe comfort.

it sounds to me like your boyfriend is a horny little devil. he may well be in love with you, just because he wants sex all the time doesnt mean you should question it... if he refused sex then thats different. he probably gets just as horny being around any woman, thats just being male.
