Singles & Dating - 25 January 2007

I have a boyfriend whose about 4 years older than me. It's not exasctly legal so i've been wondering. Why is it such a big UH OH when a 40 year old man can date a 20 year old without there being so much as a no? Is it BECAUSE it's illegal that makes it such a big deal? And why is it illegal? If someone gets involved in a relationship they should know their limits and know what their getting into.

okay, i don't want to sound weird or pretentious or snobby or anything, but something has been bugging me for a while.
is there really something so shocking about girls digging things like star wars and video games and other "traditionally male" things?
because i've met lots of guys and they all are genuinely surprised when i mention the fact that empire strikes back is my favorite movie or that i am a hardcore video game geek.
is it really that weird? i mean, usually they're all surprised and say stuff like "that's awesome! you never find a girl who's into that stuff, or if you do, she's like some ugly fat chick."
am i being overly sensative, or does anyone else find that insulting? again, i don't want to sound snobby, but i'm an attractive 18-year old girl very much on the petite side. does that mean it's weird that i'm into the stuff that i am?
this might not have much of a point, but i'm curious to know if anyone else has been the victim of this kind of thing. i'm so confused.

I was hanging out with this guy ( going to dinner and movies) but we wernt dating! I knew him from work so i went into work one day and heard that he had made a bet with some other guys that he could sleep with me before April. Now I confronted him and he denyed. If you and your boyfriend have parents that speak a different language and you want to plan a date and it's impossible to get through on the phone 'cause everytime his dad answers and he says Bueno? I hear women saying they want an emotional guy but then they say the guy can't talk to much about things that bother him or cry to much. Now I can see that constantly going on about stuff and crying through out the day would be to much but I get the feeling women would rather the guy didn't cry at all and shared no feelings at all. For example I don't like holding back about the way a feel about things when I talk and as far as crying I am actually trying to cry more after having trained myself not to cry for 20 years. So what's the standard if any.

Okay, so they give you the phone number. Hell sometimes they seem pretty enthusiastic about you calling them. And they don't answer and they don't call you back! This has happened almost consistently to me and I don't get it. I wait a few days to call and I don't call to often.

they are like 1 in a million or billion. my friend & her man have been together for 10 years and he treats her so wonderfully it makes me envy her at times. I've dated lots of guys and they usually turn out 2 b pigs, only wanting 1 thing. Maybe im yet to find 'the one'?
