Okay, so they give you the phone number. Hell sometimes they seem pretty enthusiastic about you calling them. And they don't answer and they don't call you back! This has happened almost consistently to me and I don't get it. I wait a few days to call and I don't call to often.

maybe that's your problem -- you wait too long and you're not calling afterward. look dude, you meet a girl and you think you would like to get to know her better -- when you get her number, call her that night to make sure she got home safely -- it's very cool to do that. then don't call back the next day. she'll call you by then -- if she doesn't call you back in 2 days -- ditch the number and move on.

Dude, waiting a few days to call send the message "I don't care" then when you do call they think "now he's desperate".
Call right away, or throw those digits in the trash.

Perhaps they changed their mind after giving you the number.
