This is a touchy subject with me but let me try to help......Do you love her? If you love her then why did you cheat? There is obviously some reason you cheated so maybe forgiveness is not what you need! Maybe you need to do some soul searching and find out WHY YOU DID IT in the first place!!! If there is some reason why you cheated and you know or are aware of what it is, do something about it first!! Is there something you get from the other woman that your woman will not do for you??? If so, talk to her about it and see if she would at least be willing to try it! We are not as closed minded as some men think we are! You need to ask for forgiveness but do it in the right way! Take her out to a nice dinner, maybe some flowers and a SINCERE, HEARTFELT APOLOGY!!!! Then when you have a chance to talk to her about why it is you cheated because believe me, SHE IS GOING TO ASK!!! If she even stays there with you after you tell her! Tell her WHY!! Then is she leaves you, find someone else and try to be more open from the start about what you want and need as a man!

"had no clue why?" Oh please. It's not like you woke up one morning and found yourself in bed with a stranger -- twice. You did it because you wanted to.

So, you proved to her -- twice -- that you're not trustworthy. You blew it, and you have to suck it up and understand there's no way for you to fix it -- only she can decide that it's fixed.

The only thing to do, then, is start living your life as a trustworthy person. Over time, she might learn to trust you again, and forgive you -- or she might not, in which case you're out of luck. But no amount of begging, gifts or cajoling can get her to TRULY forgive you until she trusts you -- and that's something you have no direct control over.

That's what you get for doing something stupid and selfish. Twice.

Figure out why. Then tell her you were wrong, why you did it, why it won't happen again, and ask her to give you a chance to EARN her trust....and be prepared for a very, very, very long haul. You screwed up, and if you love her you need to really work at prooving you are worth her trust. Hint...that doesn't mean just groveling - it means not being defensive when she wants to know why you were late, or wonders what's in your in-box, who that girl was on the phone, who's calling you, or why you kept staring at the waitress! Be prepared to have your ego knocked down a couple of rungs.

If you are truly sorry for what you did then the best thing is not to do it again, this will show her that you meant what you said. Actions speaks louder then words a lot of times, give her time to accept your apology then go from there.

It's easier to ask for forgiveness than to beg for permission.

As an adult, you should always know why you do the things you do.
