Why do guys always tell me that i'm beautiful, have a great personality and any guy would be extremelly lucky to have me. Yet the guys to tell me that are almost never the ones who ask me out. Are they just saying that to be nice or do they really mean it?

One can not answer that without actually knowing you and seeing what you look like. They might mean it but they are just not interested in you. Every single person has a different taste.

Back in the day guys used to tell me that. I finally asked my one guy friend who used to also tell me that any guy would be lucky to date me and that I was beautiful...etc. He said that some guys are intimidated by me. He explained it like this...you're beautiful, you have your sh*t together, you're smart and you have a strong personality. Some guys shy away from that because the don't feel like they are up there on your level. But once they get to know you...they will see that you are a very down to earth girl. So, get to know these guys and let them know you are not only beautiful...but you have a great personality too!

You probably are all of that and more but it doesn't mean that other people find you sexy or such. I get turned on by some hidden mysterious quality that just shines through and I never really consider a person's outer looks. Yeah, sounds complex but if we all lusted after the same types, only 1% of the world would be attached. Keep trying, someone will see the hidden spark!

1) When I say something like that to a lady I'm always most sincere, and probably wish I could ask her out...
2) If I don't ask her out it's most likely that I see we are not compatible in some way... That's not a negative thing.. people are just different and that doesn't take away anything from their positive attributes.

They really mean it. They are just so attracted to you that saying it is enough for them. It's kind of like how all of us say that Jessica Alba is the perfect woman yet none of us ask her out because she's just so perfect and out of our league.
It's the best compliment you can receive from a guy when he tells you you're beautiful and doesn't act on it because you're too precious.

Guys really mean it when they say that. They tell you that because it is true. Just because they don't ask you out does not mean that they are just saying that. Maybe they already have a girlfriend or maybe they do like you but think they have no chance with you so they don't ask.

Those guys may be intimidated by your beauty,seriously, they may think no way would she go out with me. Have you ever thought of asking out a guy that you really want to go out with.

They are just playing mind games with you, eventually you will be vulnerable and succumb to one of these lying fools. If they really meant it they would have the decency to ask you out instead of making small talk comments to you.

Hard to say since we don't know you the way they do.
Some guys WILL say that to keep their distance, others will say it because they mean it, and still more might say it because they are too afraid to say anything more to you (for a variety of reasons).
