that have boyfriends and husbands who take them nice places and buy them nice gifts and help them with their bills or when they are having hard times but I only seem to meet guys that are cheapskates. If they were poor I could understand but they can afford nice cars and stuff for themselves but they won't even buy me coffee. I would like to have a man who would take me some nice places as I really don't want to go out unescourted. If I meet a guy who seems nice, he only wants to stay home and watch tv, and his idea of a date is to pick me up too late to go out anywhere and watch tv at his house. that's ok sometimes but I wish I could find someone to go places with that wouldnlt' be afraid to spend a little money. I went out with one guy to a restarant and he only ordered us chips and salsa. I know he could have sprang for a meal but didn't even offer. This was all we had after spending hours together. Where are the generous men? I am 40 looking for someone arouond my age.

Possible to be in love & be in denial about it?

My friend thinks that's what is going on with a guy who's been a good friend to me & I like as more. It's a long story but there's really no reason for us to be talk & be friends anymore but he will never completely let go. He will go a couple of weeks before he calls but when he does he says he is super busy at work (he just started a new job) but he really does want to stay in touch with me. This last time I told him it won't hurt my feelings if he is 2 busy for me or has new friends that take up his time so he doesn't have to keep saying he'll be in touch if he doesn't really want (we spoke for 30 min). I've given him several chances 2 cut off all communication & he won't take them.

My friend thinks very strong feelings for me kind of snuck up on him & he didn't want to have feelings for anyone at this point in his life. He can't bring himself to act on those feelings or let me go.

So, denial or trying 2 not hurt me?

Ok so I am physically (body wise) not a very attractive person. I am not an ugly fat either I am just fat and short. I dress nice and make myself look nice every day. I was wondering if there are guys in this world who would ask out a short fat girl because he likes her personality and doesn't really care about the way she physically looks. Do you think it is possible for me to find someone would can love me for me and not be so judgementally about my looks?

he's a gentlemen around me.he tries not to swear in front of me,pays for things for me.we have some same interests so we talk a bit about them and he does listen to what is say.he's asked me to go out before and said he'll pay just as an aquaintance type thing but i said no.tells me about his friends/family and his life.talks about his job.tells me when he's had a thought about me.but he's real easygoing and i just get the feeling he doesn't feel the same.he's older too.and when we talk he gives good eye contact.but then other times he looks away.laughs at some things i say.what do you think

tom and i just got back from our yearly x-mas party at my inlaws house.when we were there tom's exwife showed up with thier son to bring gifts(even the dog got a gift but not me what a surpise) and made herself right at home for more than 2 hours.i know what everyone is thinking that i'm a evil stepmom.but what you don't know is we had a party with joe's son the night befor with my inlaws to exchange gifts with him.she knew we were having our party and can just to make me upset.we do not get along at all she is very bitter and jealous that i married her tom and makes my life hell anyway she can.my inlaws did not invite her but she uses thier son like bait to get into these functions.i'm also mad at tom as this did not bother him at all and he has no plans on saying anything to his ex about this.i told him how this made me feel and he just said what do u want me to do i can't stop her from showing up.i'm just afraid that she got away with it this time and will do it all the time now.

theres this girl a friend of mine is tryin to set me up with he told me to check out her myspace profile and so i did at first i just kinda thought y not but now its like soemthin is changin inside of me makin me into a better person i think im fallin for her i havent even met i just saw a picture of her with her hair coverin up one eye and smilin (she has a beautiful smile which is my favorite part about a female) and everytime i look at the pic a feelin comes over me i cant explain whats happenin to me but i like i havent felt this good in a long time

We went on our very first date (out of many to come) last night. He said he would call me. I waited and waited and after an hour I decided to call him. I left 25 messages on his machine since last night and have not heard back from him yet. What does this mean? Did he lie about calling me? He said he would. Why would he lie when we had such a good time. I told him my entire life story and he was sooooooo interested. Should I keep calling him? I was seeing a girl at work who has a kid and lives with the dad.She was unhappy and we fell for each other.Things didnt go so good becauses I wanted her to leave and she said she couldnt and this caused problems plus we work together.Shes been with him for 8 years and never cheated until with me.Now she says shes feeling guilty and wants to tell him.I said If she was willing to tell him why didnt she just leave him.She wont be able to live with the guilt.He could leave or could stay but will never trust her making the relationship worse.He could go crazy and try to come after me but I hate him anyway for the way he has treated her so I told her One of us will end up hurt,dead or in jail so think about it.Shes kinda screwed and should have just left before getting with me so now its all a mess.Im hurt because were not seeing each other so she can get things straight with him.I wish she would just leave him cause everthings messed up now anyway.I should have stopped this from the start.

hi so my ex-gf broke up with me, 3 weeks ago, cuz of a fight, now i dunno if she misses me or not, we remained friends since that day and still talk on msn everyday until 3 days now that it's christmas time, she's out having a life with her friends and family, and i'm here by myself, cuz i have no family of where i live, we talk less and less but at least once a day. Is this common with internet dating or is it just me?
Also, all i get are scams- unsolcited emails, russian women
african women. all scams !!! I nhave written like 50 women
and I thought I would be guaranteed a few out of that-but Nothing!!
IS this the way internet dating is for miost guys or is it just me ?
