Its not a good idea to do that. Especially if you are trying to break a couple up because you are interested in one of them. I don't know of anyone that would date the person that broke up their relationship.

Yes, it's very mean....and you should stay out of it.
You are wishing ill will on 2 people that could possibly care alot for one another. I certainly hope it's not for your own personal gain because if it is it will never work.
Try focusing your attention on something that's positive and productive ....life is too short for you to be wasting your time on this.
You wishing ill will on them will not help you in the long run....and you know...someone may start plotting on you whenever you find that special someone.....
Do yourself a favor leave them alone....

if they in love or say they are just stop trying but if you can get the guy/girl's attention then just force yourself on them eventually the one your forcing yourself on will break up with the other one
