i keep hearing how a guy should have 'courage' and be 'confident' and go boldly forth up to a girl.
What about the girl, does she have to do this too?

of course... is not fair to ask of someone qualities that you have lack of. the girl has to stand for herself and know how to act too

Courage and Confidence. You don't need it a girl can walk up to 120 guys and get 100 dates, no problem. Many girls don't realize this and fixate on ONE guy and are not happy if they can't get a date with that ONE guy. Girls rule the dating world. As soon as they realize this the better.

yes of course women are supposed to have courage and confidence. I believe the most important thing is confidence. Because if you have confindence, you can acheive things most people cant (like going up to a guy you like)

No one has to have these qualities they are simply desirable. It is easier to be around people who are confident with themselves. courage is something that would be nice to have, but these are simple ENCOURAGED in both genders, not "required"

no i think its both a girl and boy job. both genders need to be confident. we only live once and being shy wont get us anywhere
