I have had social anxiety disorder for years and when I was in high school, I avoided areas with large, or even small, groups of people. Naturally, I missed a lot of things I wanted to do, like Homecoming games and dances, and most important, the Prom. I'm married now, and too old (schools out here won't let you go to prom with a student if you're over 21), so I can't make it up. I really need to find a way to get over this, so if anyone knows of a site where I could "go to the prom", please let me know.

Anyways I am a girl and I tried flirting with this guy last month.

While I was talking to him, I noticed he spit (some people do that, hence the saying "say it don't spray it") so I said "You spit on me!" He is now walking away so he says sorry. I reply with "It's a blessing." He turns around, smiles and says "Thank you, thank you for everything." (I showed him my project too and he said it was ideal for what I was doing.)

Anyways how would you feel if that happened to you? He isn't allowed to date me and I can't be too directed with the flirting...thanks.

.... I have no one to talk to. I am trapped here & my family is so far away.. I am around judgmental people with no, well (a tiny bit of compassion) and I have no friends. The people I would like to be friends with think that I am a snob like the people I have to be around. to tell you the truth the personality you read on my 360 page is who i really am but i can't be that way around these people.. they are republican(if that says anything). so Basicly I am completely alone ... i have been invited to visit my bf's friends mom but I was told i cant go there because my bf's mom will think i am some kind of trouble maker because she doesn't like that they aren't like her....... so what the hell do i do i am trapped ... no where to go .. no one to help me .. i keep telling my bf that i need counseling but he say's i am fine and so does his mom... i know you will all tell me to leave him ...Believe me i would if i could but i have no money and no where to go... I am not abused physiclly.

iam 32 years old i just got married may of last year. my husband and i are in the process of buying a home on east state fair two
blocks form east point in detroit mi, my parents are trying to talk
me out of moving down there which far away from them
so they cant nag me and interferr in my marraige anymore.
they say that the area is bad and they found people dead
over there and they shot and kill people. dose anyone
have a word of advice on what i should do or dose anyone
know that area over there if so tell me how is it really.

Okay, I'm not being vain what so ever trust me, i'm pretty self conscience but this one thing keeps bothering me. People say i'm attractive nice funny ect...and this is coming from friends and older adults but what about guys. I'm friends with them but i'm not about to be a slut or dumb myself down just to get a bf. I'm not sure what to do....it's a big damper on my self esteem.

My dad refuses to meet my boyfriend now because the first time he met him was at 3 am in my room while my boyfriend was in his boxers. It's not just that but theres an age difference..not a huge one, about 3 years, but since I'm barely 16 he thinks of it as huge. I'm in love with this guy now. It's been almost 3 months we've been together and both of us would do anything to make the relationship work. Any tips for getting my dad to like my boyfriend??

At the end of my senior year started to go out with a boy that i had liked for a year. When i graduated my family and I moved from NY to SC, the same week i moved he moved from the down the street in NY to Idaho... we had a long distance relationship for about 3 months, but had been dating for 6 months.

Before we started going out we were best friends, i mean he even drove to FL with my mom and I before we were going out. When he broke up with me i thought everything was over. Then we stayed friends talking every other day. Then he told me he was thinking about going to the college i'm transferring and alll my feelings came back so fast and now he's going to go to westpoint. I'm so depressed and so torn up.

i know the likely hood of getting back together is tiny but i cant get raid of that hope. We're still amazing friends and i talk to him so much.

Please someone help me? how do i get over him and move on!?

my mom and me dont get along at all im a teen and she doesnt let me do anything at all. like go to the dance or to a friends house or date I try to tell her i hate it and i have no social life but today things hit the fan........we were sitting at the dinner table and she said i wasnt going to any dances ever and when i got my car all i could dont was go to school and they would have a gps put in the car so they would no... i put my fork on the plate and left to my room where i shut my door..... then they tell me to get out there ......so i got and she's like we give you everythin you could want me:i have no social life

GAH theres this girl. she talks about me all the time. her and her little friend want to start stuff with me, but in high school u can get arrested for fighting. well these girls are all talk and they wont fight. and its gettin on my nerves so bad. i cant stop thinkin about what i should do. when people dont like me and want to start stuff with me i constantly think about what to do. can somone help me find a way for her to leave me alone and make her go away and stop making my mind worry so much!! i dont want to fight her. i just want her to stop talkin about me and leave me alone.
