done something that really really hurt someones feelings just to get them to back off? (they wouldn't stop when you asked them nicely so you had to hurt them to get them to back off)?

Yes, you must be forceful when someone, just doesn't 'get it'.
You feel bad, but you get the point across. Either that, or you can let that person push you around. Perhaps even letting that person do things to you, mentally and or physically, that you would rather not do.

I guess this is similar to when a guy I was seeing didn't get the idea when I'd clearly ask him not to touch me.. He was just so annoying. He would touch my arms or grab my calf muscles when I'd try to communicate something to him which was of importance to me.
time and time again, i eventually had to put my foot down and be firm. i said 'that's enough, why wont you get it, I'm trying to talk with you and Ur not interested, well , drive me to work now, it's over, i don't want to see you anymore''.
He tried getting bak, but after how many chances he had, and he continued to ignore my wishes. i realised that he's a control freak and obviously couldn't respect me. so good riddance to bad rubbish

you tried the nice way. It didn't work. You took the next step "Hurt their feelings" Did it work? A year from now will it even matter?

Once at Summer Bible School, this guy kept flirting with me and asking me for my number repeatedly. I would brush off him like he wasn't serious but he wouldn't ever stop. He even brought me a rhinestone Jesus pin (OMG!) and tried to give it to me and asked me to be he girlfriend..I had to just tell him straight out NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it was way too much.

Yes.. I did it to one of my ex-boyfriend.. First, I talked to him nicely, but he responded it badly.. He even did scary things get me back with him.. Then I decided to stop being nice.. Then he backed-off.. And I felt more relieve..
