Okay, so here's the story. "billy" and i have been dating for several years now, almost four years. four years next week. we are very much in love. i think he might propose soon! =] i am twenty six, and so is "billy". everything's great, except for my family! i'm hawaiin, i was born there, and at seven, my family and i moved to the mainland. billy, is not hawaiin. my family very much wanted me to marry a hawaiin, they even had one picked out for me!!! well, needless to say, they weren't happy when they found out who i was dating. they harass him endlessly, they don't invite him to family occasions! now they're even shunning ME. i don't know what to do! i'm very close with my family, and i don't want to hurt them or dishonor our name. and yet- i love billy with all my heart and want to live out the rest of my life with him. i'm so confused and hurt. what should i do? i need help desperately!

-please help!!!

Thanks for the answers, but I have asked him to maintain a stable job f/the past 5yrs, He hasn't maintain a job for longer than 4mths a year in 5yrs. He moved me to a different state f/family so I have no close relatives to me. I moved f/NY to a cheaper State. Now I am here and he still can't support us. He still won't get and keep a job. I think its time to move on. How do I go about getting my own apt w/the kids and leaving him? Should I tell him? Should I fear an argument when I leave? Since he is unemployed I can't just move out w/o him knowing, How do I get myself and my kids away f/ this moocher? Do I stay in this state where I have no family but can make it alone? or do I move back by family and hope to find a good job to pay f/ an apt in NYor do I stay here fight, finish college and then move?

i think my girlfriends mom has problems wit me like being touchy with her daughter, cuz her moms friend saw my girlfriend and me like being all touchy if you kno what i mean, and her mom wasnt so happy when she heard that. Now my girlfriend cant do alot of stuff, including havin me over or comin to my house or doin anything mostly. How do i get her mom to like trust us or just me or how do i get her to like just not worry about it, well basicaly how do i get her to like me alot?

On New Year's Eve my nephew David (he's 21 I'm 26, weird family don't ask) had a party and my 16 yr. old neice Courtney came along with some friends her age. One of the guys she kinda had a crush on (he's 16) and they fell asleep on the couch together. I was in the living room as well laying down on another couch and it was really dark. This guy she works with named Rich who is 23 came over the house that night to buy drugs off of someone who was at the party. I was kinda hidden when he did this next thing so I don't think he seen me but he went up to my neice who was sleeping and woke her up and was like 'I just wanted to see you. My best friend and I just can't seem to figure out why our husbands are SOOOOOOOOOO obsessed with football. They watch it, read about it, play it on xbox, watch it on the dvr, go on the internet and read about it, talk about it 24/7....pretty much don't do anything else. when anyone comes to visit me although I am glad to see them at first after about an hour I wish they would go away again as I just want to be left on my own. Am I being anti social or has anyone else got this same problem. Some of my family and friends think I must be lonley but I am not in the slightest and just love being on my own and doing what I want to do anytime I want to do it.

We want to be together, but her ex has lost her mind. The woman I want to be with has tried dating other women since they officially split up and stopped living together well over a year ago. The ex continues to stalk my girl to the point where I can't even go to her house with us fearing that something will happen to my vehicle while it's at her house. This woman has threatened to show up at my girl's work and tell them about her lifestyle etc... and although there is a restraining order on the woman, that will not prevent her from doing such a thing, it will only ensure an arrest after the fact. By then, the damage is done, and it would possibly get my girl fired, depending on how the very religeous owners of the company think about hearing that kind of news from a violent woman. The ex will even screw around with the friends and other dates my girl had before me. Any ideas how to difuse this so me and the love of my life can be together?

My fiance and I have been reunited together for 5yrs. He has been unable to maintain a stable job and I have been the head of the household. He does not like to be told that he does not support his family. We constintley get put out of our apts. because he can never cover his part of bills. We have two children and I try my hardest to support everyone. I am tired of being broke f/ paying his part of the bills and I'm tired of him arguing w/ me when I tell him the truth about not supporting his family. He is using the kids to try and hold me back. How do I seriously let him know that it isn't working out? How do I let him know that I plan on getting my own place? How do I leave?

my husband opened a my space account for work(i was with him when he did it) a week after he did this i went into his account to add some pics(my husband did not know i was going to do this).thats when i noticed "sue" a old gf sent my husband a private msg like 2 days after he signed up. it said "i know you well,very well".he then responded with just a hi how are and joking with her.they went back and forth till i called my husband on it only 2 days later.he played it off as no big deal which really nothing bad was said between them.i should have waited and just watched how things played out.what concerns me are a few things how come he did not tell me he was chatting with his ex.how come he deleted his whole account like 5 mins after i told him i saw his mgs.i may be overreacting but this is the same gf that he left his first wife for 8yrs ago.i went to sue's my space page and she is local and single.

Boyfriend is hanging out more with his friend whose going to jail then you??? I mean I completely understand, but I hardly ever get to see him, and when I call him and his friend is around he tells me he has to go and calls me like 3 hours later... and we had plans to see eachother then they get screwed. like this guy, he is absolutely amazing. I mean I can trust him because were friends already and hes sweet and hes kinda shy which is so cute. Hes smart. Only problem is he is 18 and I'm 20. I am 15 years old and my sister is going to have a baby in August. Yay!! But she asked me to be the godmother and I would love to be her godmother but if, heaven forbid, something happens to her I don't know if I really want that responsibility as a teenager. Also she hasn't said if she's gonna give her a baptism and I'm not a Catholic and I don't want to promise before God that I will help raise her child Catholic. I really need more opinions on this. Long story short...I would love to be the godmother but I haven't heard any info from her about a baptism and I think I may be to young.

I'm now engaged & he's a WONDERFUL guy but sometimes I think he gets frustrated with me when it comes to sex. When he touches me sometimes I shutter & remember my father ( who abused me) He tries to understand but he can't. I don't want it to ruin our relationship b/c I love him & know he loves me. I met "J" online about 2 or 3 months b4 we met. He came home on leave. (military) Drove 2 hrs to see me, stayed the night and it was great. We kept in constant contact over the next few wks. Last time i spoke w/ him, (he called around Nov. 16th) he said that he just had a few minutes to talk, he was going to post. Then i got an email from him on Nov 26th saying that he missed me but he was working hard. I havent heard from him since. His phone is disconnected, email no longer available. I understand that these things can happen when a person is in the military. Am I just freaking out for no reason? He says we are more than friends, and he asked me to think about moving to S.C. 2 b with him. I would love some feedback on this one. I am assuming it is normal not to hear from him, @ least for a while.

Over three months ago I choose to run-away from home. It started when my father had to return to Iraq, again. leaving my siblings and me with my mom. She started stressign a lot and eventually started getting paranoid. My daughter is 15 yrs old now and she still having anger problems. I just thought it was puberty. In the morning she yells if you ask a question or to get up. At night I ask questions about her day and she yells back it sounds shes mad. but i know she isn't. she has a great life great friends...she doesnt play any sports. she doesnt like anything she says. right now she wants to do tennis but it winter and theres no indoor around here which is connecticut. All day during the weekend she stays in her room and is on the computer or watching tv. Shes a tall girl 5'10 and thin. Do you have any suggestions of things she could do? Sport programs involving tennis? or indoor or outdoor activities to keep her active? PLEAS HELP!! AND PLEASE DON'T SUGGESTION BASKETBALL!
