um non existent. my mom abandoned the family when i was in the first grade, and my dad got hooked on drugs when i was like 15, and couldn't keep the house anymore. I've been on my own since... now I'm 20... i talk to my mom sometimes on holidays and my dad is in jail.. i don't visit him

I have a pretty good relationship with my mom I would say that we are best friends, I tell her everything and she tells me almost everything ( theres somethings that you just don't want to hear out of your moms mouth no matter how close you are ) My mom was there when I had my first child and and takes her on weekends sometimes so my husband and I can have some time. My father died when I was 20, I had a great relationship with him too, he stuck up for me when I went through that whole terrible teens stage. I love both my mom and dad and hope that I can be as understanding a parent as they were.

It's good. I get along with them well. On most days we just do our thing and don't bother each other cuz we have our own lives. Then on the weekends, we try to spend quality time togther.
I love my parents and don't take them forgranted. I'm passed that teen, I hate you mom and dad stage. WAY passed.

my relationship with them now or when i was a kid? now_--dad is dead and i have a decent relationship with my mom.
when i was a kid? i hated my dad because he verbally and physically abused me and my brothers and sisters until i turned about 9 and started to develop then everything went to hell and the molestation started. when i got old enough to realize that not every family acted this way and i started saying no then the beatings with his fists, rubber hoses, electric wires, etc... started.
my relationship with my mom took forgiveness on my part because she never stopped the SOB from hurting all three of us girls "that way".

We are cool now, but it took some time. Basically they had to believe that I was not so dumb and young anymore. I think they treat me like an adult now because they have respect for what I do with my life now. However, my mom sometimes slips into "treat her like she is in 4th grade" mode :>
