Thanks for the answers, but I have asked him to maintain a stable job f/the past 5yrs, He hasn't maintain a job for longer than 4mths a year in 5yrs. He moved me to a different state f/family so I have no close relatives to me. I moved f/NY to a cheaper State. Now I am here and he still can't support us. He still won't get and keep a job. I think its time to move on. How do I go about getting my own apt w/the kids and leaving him? Should I tell him? Should I fear an argument when I leave? Since he is unemployed I can't just move out w/o him knowing, How do I get myself and my kids away f/ this moocher? Do I stay in this state where I have no family but can make it alone? or do I move back by family and hope to find a good job to pay f/ an apt in NYor do I stay here fight, finish college and then move?

Based on your name it sounds like you are Muslim woman so of course you cannot leave him...PLUS you have kids?? Ask your Imam what to do. Search for jobs w/ your husband. Encourage him that it is going to be alright that you are nervous being in a new town. When he is searching for jobs, make sure he is well-groomed. New haircut, shower, Khaki pants, shirt & tie will always get the job!!
Insha'Allah

MOVE HOME. Your family is your only support system, and they are probably the only ones who will be there for you through thick and thin.

WHAT do you see in this man that keeps you there? Obviously, somewhere deep inside, you have not felt you and your children deserve better?

Not trying to be mean here ... just trying to give you the wake-up shock you need to hear.

If it is too hard for you to put yourself first, then think of your children! What does he have to offer them and what kind of role model is he? If he truly cared about you and the children, he'd be busting his butt to provide for you all. This man is a lazy, self-centered, directionless loser. Move on!

I can tell you are not happy. You have children, have not completed college, no family where you leave and he is loser (sorry). I would suggest you move back to be closer to your family (or move back home) and get support from them, finish college and meet a real man. Good luck!

Call your family, see if they can come up to where you are, arrange for a U-Haul truck and while they are there in force... leave the bum.
