Marriage & Divorce - 23 June 2006

I've been married and divorced 5 times in my life. I never asked a lady to marry me, they always did that part. I always had to kick them out when things got bad. I never screwed around on my lady. With the first one, I had a son that his mom raised, the third one I had a daughter, that I raised. Her, my daughter, and I are best friends to this day. She is 25 now. She is recently married to a great guy from the Northwest, and I'm really happy for her, and my son is now a minister in Bend Oregon. I'm so proud of him. Now when I try to think about having a relationship with a lady, all they do is want stuff, and expect me to be rich or something. I have my money in a safe place, are all women this way? or did I not learn anything about the species in my life?

Yes I've know that he has been in bisexual relationships from day one. He stopped sleeping with men when his mother found out not because he wanted to but he didnt wanna hurt her any more. She now wants us to get married ( and i do love him ) but i think he's doing it to cuz she very sick and wants to see her only son married before she dies.

i supose no divorce is never nice....the idea anyways...but i am wondering how many of you that have divorced did so in a MATURE way, when it comes to your children. ive been divorced for over 7yrs. he and i share custody of our son. he lives with me during the school yr, but we dont have a visitation schedule, i make sure that my son is avalible any time my ex would like to have him. holidays, bdays, etc. and he stays with his father all summer, i do not get child support...we share everything 50/50 down the middle. if my son needs something...i call, and my ex helps get it. i know a lot of dads/moms arent that lucky. BUT with that exception. i wonder why parents fight over their children? or money. why behave in that manner. no you may not like or love each other anymore, but can ppl not grow up just a bit...for the sake of their kids!! some of my son's friends are in horrible situations with their parents..its heartbreaking, dont ppl realize their children will grow up to resent it?

I caught my girl friend cheating on me. It's been two years now. I can't imagine the scenery. Can someone please give me any advice how to get over this trauma once and for all? This has been effecting me negatively through all post relationships.

When a man does something wrong he usually acts like your talking in a foreign language when you call him on it. They get what I call the "Jackass Face". Talk to me people.

Me and my husband have together almost 3 years. We are both young and we had a great sex life when we were dating and the first year of our marriage. Now we have sex maybe 7-10 times a month sometimes more and i want it almost every night. He works 9-10 hours a day and when he gets home he is always tired and says he is wore out. He is pretty overweight and he had high blood pressure. I feel like he doesn't want to have sex with me and i cry alot about it, even though everynight when we got to bed he holds me and tells me he loves me and we play around(not sexually) But i want sex and it kills me that he doesn't. But he does get in these moods where he can't keep his hands off me. I need someones opinion?????

What type of wedding would you have and where would you go for your honey moon?

My husband cheated (just kissing) on me the week after our honeymoon with a co-worker who was at my wedding. It lasted a 1 1/2 weeks. He continued to talk to her even after I found out (only a couple of times). She told me about those times - he denies it. Now, I am at a new job where a co-worker has been flirting with me. He and I kissed - twice. I really like him. Before he and I kissed, I told my husband that I had feelings for someone else - he still doesn't know that we kissed. He said that if anything like that did happen that he wouldn't want to know about it. But now I feel like I coudn't care less about what my husband does or who he does it to. I just don't care. But I love him. And now he is making a real effort to make things work. Am I subconsciously getting back at my husband for what he did? I feel stuck in my marriage. Once I realized that I had other options, I was ready to leave my husband. It was just nice to know that I had options too, not just him.

He said he isn't happy and it's my fault. Lately he's had problems with his long time job and his 19 year old daughter (from a previous marriage) moved in about a year ago. She has an infant. He babysits and fails to get enough sleep and gets cranky with me. My husband has started to discuss things with my stepdaughter that he should be discussing with me. He's excluding me from matters involving my home as if I'm no longer there! They do sneaky things to me in an effort to make me angry or humiliate me. My husband has always used his children to back him up to get back at me if I say or do anything he doesn't like such as complain about his children. I think he won't leave because he can't afford to do without my income. I can't live like this any longer. I still love my husband of 14 years but want his daughter out of my home. He refuses to go to a marriage counselor. What can I do to get my life back the way it was - or at least close?
