Friends - November 2007

I have a newly accquainted guy friend, who has asked if we could go travelling together ( we're both on a gap year at the moment) which at first seemed like a good idea, mainly becuase it would be lonely going by myself and also becuase for a 18 year old girl, travelling abroad alone is dangerous etc.
But I don't know him that well, and what if we don't get on and have fun and stuff?
Do you think I should just go with him anyway for the reason that he will be a 'safety guard' and some company, or not go with him at all? Although if i didn't go with him, I can't see myself going travelling full stop. I just dunno what to do.

ok... here is the problem.... lately my roommate is being weird.. extremely weird... he has a history of drug abuse.... and here and there we (because we are 4 people in the house) found him pass out drunk and drug out..... well. .. he pulls this **** every now and then (at least 4 times a year or more)
yesterday, he got mad with his girlfriend because she put money to pay the water bill (by the way cause of them they were going to cut the water... we are sick of putting the money ahead and get paid 3 weeks later.. i am not a bank!) he claimed needed money, which his girlfriend confess to me later on, saying that she does not know for what he needed money (at leas $140) .Last night around 2 am we hear him getting inside the car, and he did not came back until at least 4 am.... weird, fishy.
Today he call my BF asking him to borrow money ($130) what??? claiming that he will pay us tomorrow. First of all they still owed me $50 for the water bill (cause they were short)

i have 2 cousins that are great sometimes but others they are pains in the butt. one is 11, the other is 8. well the younger one like bosses me around, she jumps on me, kicks me, pinches me, and hits me, till she gets what she wants. sometimes she'll just do it for no reason. she tells me not to talk to the other cousin, and not to, talk to my sister who is 12. the other one claims i'm immature, and teaches the younger one to do those things. i don't do that and need to find a way to stand up to my
youngest cousin, and prove to the other one that i'm not immature. please tell me how.

me and my bestfriend has been friends for 7 long years and im 13 but me and her been through thick and thin from boys to drama from getting caught skipping school i love her as a sister cause she always been there and know my whole family but she also is a back stabber and starts shyt .but this my question should i be mad at her and stop talking to her cause she told this boy i use to talk to ex girlfriend that i dont like that i had sex with him its true but its my business and this not her first time talking too much now my uncle and auntie knows and why im by their house i cant go anywhere and everbody look at me bad.....im heartbroken and mad cause im going through alot right now and it seems like i cant trust nobody.

for me it was moving from school on 12 grade.

it was best to make it in 12 and not earlier, if i had do that, wouldnt take some elective that the school i am doesnt offer, i wouldnt meat friends i did, and i wouldnt let so much things that teachers doesnt teach u. and if i didnt change from school, it woulda be awefull,

My best friend of 16 years has been off and on with her a**hole boyfriend for about 2 years. 3 Months ago, they moved in together after finding out she was pregnant. Since then, they have done nothing but fight, and she has spent the night at her parent's house time and time again. This past weekend, she called it quits with him, and I helped her move some of her things back home for the millionth time. I was so proud of her for finally giving him up. Just a few minutes ago, she called and told me that she went back to their apartment and has been staying there since Sunday....the day after I helped her move out. I'm fed up with seeing her hurt and watching her go back, so I told her I wash my hands of the situation and that she is now on her own. Was that the wrong thing to do? I feel so bad....

My best friend recently moved..she made a few new friends and lives closer to me now. Lately I noticed a differnece in my friend since she has hung out with her new friend. She was a chrstian b4 all this and now I doubt she is. Her mom would want to know what she has told me she has done but idk if I should tell. It isnt life or death but it could get worse. She has been near a bridge with her friend and they took off there shirts and jumped in the water,she has taken her mom's car and driven it to her friends house (1 house down) when no one was home,she has been hanging out with a boy she isnt allowed to and told me she likes him and she has said she snuck outside and ran around her yard at 2am. All with her new friend. We don't get along anymore or as much. We don't hang out anymore cuz she is ALWAYS with her new friend. See I am scared she may do worse things. She is 15. So should I tell her mom all she has been doing?

Hi, I'm a well dress, cute, fun personality, person. I just moved in a new town I'm going to college next semester. I am 25 and VERY happily married. I have a friend of 10 yrs. that I adore. She has been married for about 2.5 yrs. and hasn't been happy since day 1. She moved from a fairly large city where we are from to a town with about 1,500 people. She has a college degree and is working for minimum wage because of the lack of opportunity. She has gained close to 100 pounds since she has lived there which I attribute to being unhappy and her husband said that he will never leave the small town where they live bc that's where is was born and raised. Within a year of being married, she was already talking about divorce. This was a marriage that was rushed and happened before they had the opportunity to really get to know each other. It is the type of relationship where the woman is supposed to be submissive to her husband which is not her. THIS IS NOT AN ABUSIVE REALATIONSHIP. We have talked about this before and she had assured me everything was ok. Do I stay out of it or bring it up again?

I was at a store and this lady with her kid in her lil carrier locked her keys in her car so she was trying to open her door with a hanger. I think that I watched about 5-6 men go by staring and not one offered to help her out. I couldn't beleive it I finally went to offer my help. My husband is still a big gentelman he always opens and closes doors .

I have been told I cannot talk to my best friend, because he is a youth worker, and when I got kicked out of my house Saturday night, he came and got me. The problem is he took a "client" home, even though I had been his friend alot longer. He is 23 and I am 16, but no one has to worry about us "doing" anything (sexual) because we are both homosexual. Can his work really banned us from talking?

There are a guy and a girl who work in the same, large office as me. Let's say they're called Laura and Luke. Laura is one of my best friends and we've always told each other EVERYTHING. I'mgreat friends with Luke too, he called me his best female friend. I'm far better friends with Luke than Laura and Luke are.

Now Luke is a BIG womaniser. He has sex with LOADS of girls. And i've just found out that Laura and his have NOT slept together, but that a few weeks ago she took him back to her house and they did EVERYTHING but have sex.

She always made a big deal about how anyone would want to sleep with him. I don't understand why neither of them told me! I'm very trustworthy, and they tell me everything else! It's not going on now, it was a one night thing. but I only managed to find out by pretending I knew anyway and doing some serious bluffing.

I feel betrayed and I feel like it "cheapens" my relationships with them. Am I wrong??

A good friend of mine gets rather annoying when he drinks.

Keep in mind he is not getting wasted, driving, fighting, getting real biligerant etc. However, he just starts talking and talking and it gets really annoying after a while. He does not do this when not drinking and in fact is a great guy.

Tonight a bunch of us were trying to watch a movie and this guy would not stop talking. After a while when he talked other people would say "Good for you" and then ignore him. I think people were getting pretty annoyed. (I know I was).

They guy admits that he is alcoholic and says he "likes to drink a few beers." (or 8 or 9 lol!)

Granted it could be worse, he could be getting real wasted and causing all kinds of problems.

Even though that is not the case. What he is doing is getting very annoying.

What can I do?

Me and my friend have been friends for a year now. Throughout that year we have been hella close, talk about girls, sports, play games with. But, then he kind stopped talking to me, he would rarely talk to me. I confronted him, and he tells me I act to buddy, buddy to him =\.
